Work had quotes around it! wink

And why would anyone *not* want an M1?  It’s the finest battle implement ever devised by man!  It’s sharp and sexy, well balanced, with just the right amount of weight.  Not so heavy that it slows you down, but with enough heft that you know you’re carrying a serious weapon.  Throw in a walnut stock and some highly polished nickel and you’ve got a beautiful piece of art as well.

Eh, it’s a bit bulky, and the way the loading system is designed isn’t very good unless you’re just using it on a target range, but other than that they’re good enough rifles.

Best battle implement? No, no. That would be the scythe. Or howabout the old standby, the sword? Theyre fun…

A club to smash his fucking head in,
And a spade to burry the bastard.

So apparently you two know more about battle than General Patton?

I disagree. Needed too many rounds to put down a target and as a carbine it didn’t have the range that was needed in many WWII battles. Still it was a pretty handy weapon.
