I would like to see the series (assuming they continue them with his son - and they don’t suck) head back to its roots with older, less newagey ideas.  Ideas that have been around for centuries rather than decades.  I’d rather Indiana Jones in Lost Atlantis over Indiana Jones and the Crop Circles of Bristol.

Yeah, the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail are good old established religious/mythological (depending on your point of view) items, and while I’ve never heard of any magic rocks associated with Shankara at least the idea of Shankara as an important religious figure goes back well over a thousand years.  From what little bit I’ve heard of the fourth movie, it seems to involve flying saucers and crystal skulls.  Not quite in the same league as the previous items.  They might as well have gone with my earlier example of him searching for a Scientology book.
