Wait wait wait! The customer asked the barmaid to try it AFTER complaining that it burned her mouth and throat?!? Thats like saying “Oh this milk is bad, try it.“ Why after a customer complains of an apparently horrible reaction to the stuff would any sane person drink enough to cause permanent scarring of the esophagus? 

Couldn’t she just take her word for it? Sheesh!  confused

Like I said- SMELL. How stupid does a person gave to be to not notice the clinical stench of detergant?

Mm… actually, if it was a sanitizer, it wouldn’t smell ‘soapy’. And it may have ben heavily scented.
