Cinema Blend is reporting that Variety is reporting that Viggo Mortensen is being signed for the new movies (probably the second one since Aragorn doesn’t appear in The Hobbit).

The problem is that if they get too many people then the people they don’t get might be upset. Some are required for The Hobbit, but the others are descretionary for the second movie.
