There is no possible way that a remake will be as good as the first, even if it does have the same director.  Hmmph.

It’s so sad.  It’s the only movie in the whole damn series that’s any good, so they have to go back and correct that ‘error’.

The film’s barely 20 years old! Every part perfectly cast! I can’t believe this thread nearly escaped my wrath (thanks Tah).
I am not a happy bunny. Highlander was made by Lambert, Connery and Brown. It worked in grimy, 1985 NYC. Don’t get me started on the Queen music!

A remake, or worse- re-envisioning (as this apparently is)- is going to have to be spectacular to compete with the original. I’ll see how this goes, it may be interesting to see. I’ll reserve judgement until we start seeing a bit more about it.

But I’ve got a sick feeling in my gut like the Quickening that doesn’t make me hopeful.
