Boo - 17 May 2008 09:15 AM

Hey, people with no actual memory problems forget about them - don’t feel bad.
wink

And it’s not like my memory is great. Strokes do that to you.

That is probably why we get along so well, Boo. We are BOTh a bit off in the head! LOL

Oh well.

I’m gonna go and let you two ladies chat.
It was good talking to you Boo.  Try and keep your chin up. I know it can be hard, but it is worth it most days. (Though sometimes a good bout of depression can be really cathartic somehow....) grin

I hope you have a good day. Gice the girls a scritch or two from me. smile

I’m trying to finish this blanket for my sis-in-law.  The crocheting is done, but now I have to weave in the ends, which I hate, which is why I leave it until the end instead of as I go....lol

Is the weaving terribly tedious?

And can you sneak up and turn the AC off again?
wink

Oh, weird question...if you were buying cigarettes, would you ask for, say, 2 packs of cigarettes, or 40 cigarettes?

*shudders*
87F…

Ummm, well, we smoke rollies, but I’d probably ask for ‘two packs of whateverbrand twenties’, if that’s how many a pack had. Why?

Because when we were at the gas station, a British woman was in there and asked for “40 Marlboro Lights” and confused the clerk.  When he asked her to clarify, she said “40 Marlboro Lights, in a box” so he thought she wanted 40 packs of smokes...so he got the cartons and then SHE was all confused and said “no, I just want 2 of these...” and held up a pack of the other smokes she was buying…

LOL
Yeah, that’s just her being weird. I may have said “40 Marlboro Lights”, but when asked to clarify, would have said “Two twenty packs”.

It’s not a national thing, just a weirdo thing.
wink

Ok, I have to go and watch DOCTOR WHO WITH AGATHA CHRISTIE!!!!!
*ahem*
I’ll be back in 45 minutes or so.
