Ah yes, I forgot it was Mothers’ Day in the US.
The baby animal day sounds fun.

I like trains, but I really prefer not to spend hours and hours and hours on them…

Don’t mind long train journeys. I’d rather spend 5 hours on a train than 2 hours on an Easyjet flight with no legroom and being stuck beside a big fat alcoholic who swears at the cabin crew. I guess I’ve seen North by Northwest too many times.

Well, I’ve never had a bad experience flying. Not even ‘small child kicking the back of my seat’ bad.

If trains had steam again then we’d have steam filled platforms on which mysterious figures could step out of the gloom and offer cryptic advice to the traveller. Like the good old days.

Or just stab you. Which wouldn’t make much of a difference except you wouldn’t see it coming.
