People like that don’t have friends. They have cronies. The biggest and loudest have like-minded sorts who cluster around behind them, then scatter when their figurehead gets taken down. I’ve seen it before.
I vaguely thought that I might come on today, and it would be covered in posts accusing everyone of, like, child abuse. Like BLA did.
ETA: BLA? One of them, anyway.
That was a spectacular example…
I suspect PM will just spread around his cronies that MoH is filled with lib’rals! Who are probably gay! And black! And feminists!
Today should be fun. We’ve got the Whole Earth Festival here in town. Basically, it’s one big hippiefest, that they have every year. Lots of drum circles, crafts, food, and suspicious brownies.
Hey, all—whoever constitutes “all” at the moment. I have a magazine deadline in a week (eek!), so I probably won’t be on too much for a few days. I’ll at least try to keep up on what’s up with the MoHers, though.
I am not a big fan of large gatherings of a counter-culture (and while I am very fond of suspcious brownies, I prefer them to be suspiciously high in chocolate, butter and calories). They are fun to watch and talk to, but not in big groups. But a little taste of hippie-dom is good for the soul.
It’s actually more crafts and info faire than a *real* hippy funk.. It’s held on the campus, after all. Lots of vendors selling art, clothing, windchimes made out of obsidian, and the occasional crystal-pathic massage.
Last night (about 13 1/2 hours ago).
He had posted stuff on that thread about the flags that had to be removed. Since he’d already been warned about posting inappropriate stuff, he was banned.
