Huli, I’ve always been big busted and I find that it’s the first place I put weight on and the last place I lose it so I agree with Maeg and Kathleen that you may have lost weight from other areas but haven’t changed in the bust. I lost quite a bit of weight recently and went from an 18DD down to a 14E so I lost two sizes around the back but gained a cup size. It’s pretty common I think.

Thanks Nettie.  That’s actually encouraging even though, historically, my cup size is where if first lose weight!  They used to just disappear.

Many years ago I actually went to see a plastic surgeon to be assessed for implants.  I wanted to go from an AA to a C cup and the doctor suggested that was too big a difference for my size (I’m small boned and 5 feet tall) and suggested going to a B cup!  I didn’t do it though partly because of the price and also because he told me I’d lose sensitivity.

I’m VERY glad I didn’t do that; I can’t imagine those underneath what I am now.  I AM learning that I should wear tops that are a little tighter so I have a curve to my waist though because otherwise the tops stick out too far.  Does that make sense?  I’m sorry, I am just not used to this and it’s very possible that all the first bra purchases really were NOT the right size, but based on my own pre-conceived idea that those cups should have been smaller.

Yep, I agree with the others (ok, maybe not about the aliens).
I’m also big busted, and I try to wear closer fitting tops, else the fabric just hangs straight down from my bosom, and it isn’t very flattering.

When I was 24, I lost weight except in my bust, so it can happen.
Unfortunately, when I now gain weight it all goes to my boobs.

I, on the other hand, try not to wear tight fitting tops, because they tend to make my chest really prominent.  I finally went and had myself fitted…I wear a J cup….gulp

Anyhow, the only advice I can offer is the same as others have already given, and that’s to go and have yourself fitted, so that you know what size you need to get.  Sorry I can’t offer anything better.

Crafty, I will no longer complain.  From your perspective I’m still in a training bra.  You are well beyond my league but you also make me feel a whole lot better.  Truthfully, it sounds as if a large percentage of the female forum members are ‘gifted’!

and here I was so proud to be a C cup….sheesh!

Maybe if I lose weight, I"ll be a D, who knows, but I doubt it.
