Apparently the Christians really don’t like the books.
Could we instead say “some Christians” instead of “the Christians”? On the subject of literature, we do not speak as one. Or two. Or three.
You’re right. Sorry, if I have offended any Christians. That was a big generlization of me and consider it edited.
No problem, Banana—I was pretty sure what you meant, and probably most other people were too. I’m just a natural-born nitpicker. But I’m thorough, by God.
Most of the time, people referring to ‘Christians’ in a derogatory manner don’t mean the average, everyday Common Spotted Christian, but rather the rabid, Bible-snorting, holier-than-thou, uber-Christian. The sort that feel they must eat, sleep and breathe their faith every waking moment, in order to prove how much better than the rest of you they are.
My dad refers to those sorts as ‘God-botherers’, as he’s certain they must be as annoying to God as they are to us mere mortals.
But we’re veering off-topic by a wide margin. Back to Dumbles coming out of the closet!
