We don’t have the dog yet, we can’t get it until we move into our new house. No dogs allowed in our rental. We did get a hamster which is going back tonight. I am afraid my kids are going to kill it, and it keeps biting them when they try to play with it, which I have told them not to. You know kids though, they don’t listen.

Yeah, I keep our hamster up high. She can see him, but not get him out of the cage. She’s pretty good with him though, but I don’t let her hold him, just let her pet him while he’s in my hand/lap. You have an older kid though which is harder. Mr. Bojangles has never bitten, but many of them do, especially if they feel they are being handled rough.
