Isn’t dutch like german?

I tried to learn Dutch some years ago, and I wouldn’t say that it’s anything like German.

Basically, the two languages compare in the same way as French and Italian.

Of course, I sometimes get my French and my Italian mixed up. . .and Spanish.  It can get a bit confusing.
