I watched a lot of cartoons.  Anything with Batman was stuff I watched.  I liked a lot of Disney cartoons.  Some Nickelodeon cartoons…

I didn’t get to watch cartoons when I was young, maybe that is why I love them so much now.

Well, I never saw a cartoon until I was in my late teens, but ones that I did enjoy then:

The old Warner Bros. cartoons (especially the ones with the roadrunner and coyote)
Some of the older Disney ones (not the newer ones from recent decades, though)

Naturally, now that I’m an adult(ish) person, I don’t ever watch cartoons any more. . .

I just loved the “Marine Boy” technology; oxygum, stun boomerangs (that work underwater), hydrojet boots, flying submarines - total brilliance!

There are a few stations now that play all cartoons all the time…or at least all kid shows.  I let Jocelynn watch Noggin…and I have to say that my favorites for HER to watch are the ones that used to be books…or have been adapted from books.

Their characters seem to be less hyperactive.  They have soothing/softer music in the background rather than obnoxious sound effects.  And the characters seem genuine if that makes sense.  Like they have a purpose & they do it…and when something goes wrong…they find a way to fix it.  Maybe I’m just nuts, though.    I do like the games on noggin.com.

Sprout is a good children’s channel if you get it.  And if you do check out Kipper.  Very calm and relaxing cartoon.  Sydney watches it as part of her wind down time before bed each night.  (She actually watches about a half hour of the Good Night Show, but Kipper is part of that.  Kipper is also on at other times throughout the day.)
