Actually, that’s just about average for State judges, here. And a heck of a lot less than corporate CEOs’ golden parachutes. Twenty four years on the bench would warrant that sort of pension. But, under civil service rules in most states, and I believe, the Federal system, too, if you’re convicted of a crime related to the job (or even, ON the job, as this appears to be), and are sentenced to anymore than 60 days confinement, that sucker is GONE! All of it. He might not get sentenced to that long actual incarceration, with his spotless record, and all, and the fact that no one was actually harmed. But he is gonna be one sooooorrry ex-judge!
