Having served in the Aussie Army for over 21 years (including 1 year in South Vietnam) I retired to the peaceful country area of my birth.  I live on 9 acres with my new wife (filipina) and my three great mates, my little girl dogs.

I have used some of the “Tall Animal Tales”, namely the Drop Bear on visiting US Troops, and the Hoop Snake on visiting New Zealand Troops who are dead scared of any snake as they do not have snakes in NZ.

In Vietnam I told US Troops planning to visit Australia on R&R;(Namely SYDNEY) to be sure to see the “Kangaroo Races” in that city’s main street which I said were held on Sundays.

I also apologised to them for not having any “Kangaroo Feathers” for sale as it was not moulting season.
