Notting Hill tube station sign

 So, I recieved an email at work yesterday with a picture of a sign
supposedly up at the Notting Hill tube station in London.

I would post the picture, but unfortunately, this isn't my computer and I
can't download stuff on it, and therefore I can't download the program I
need to log into my university web space, etc etc etc. The point is, I have
it in my email, so if anyone wants to post it themselves, let me know and I
will email it to you.

Since I can't post the picture, I'm just going to try to describe it.

It's a sign which looks exactly like the handwritten signs put up in the
tube stations when there are last minute changes to lines being down,
delays, etc. However, what this one says is a bit strange:

"Date 26 July 2005
Time All Day
Notice to All Passengers
Please do not run on the platforms or concourses.
Especially if you are carrying a rucksack, wearing a big coat or look a bit
foreign.
This notice is for your own safety.
Thank you."

I would believe it's real, except for the part about looking a bit foreign.
That seems like an odd thing to officially write on a notice.

It is obviously a response to the shooting of that brazilian kid by the met,
but what I'm curious about is this:

Was it an official sign created by the tube station to warn passengers?
Was it a sign that was up that an unauthorized person merely erased and
wrote their own message on?
Is it just a doctored photo?

I was going to go down to the Notting Hill tube station to see if it was
there, but with so many lines down around that area, it would have been a
pain to get there and I would have had to switch lines a few times.

I haven't seen the sign in any other stations, though I have been riding the
tube quite a bit.

If anyone wants me to send the picture to them, let me know and you can post
it.

Ahhh...thanks MnJ. I have been checking MoH every once in a while and making a few comments, but not very many.

And thanks for posting a link to the pic smerk. I also emailed it to Winona, but that was after I saw you already posted it, so oh well.

Notice how both images are shot at exactly the same angle with the same background...
..but the BBC's photo is from Paddington and the new one's from Notting Hill Gate?
I think not.

I doubt even the LU staff could be so tactless.
