It does in the whole of Britain, Mr Henderson.
*sigh*
Snopes says:
The "Rubber Johnny" video which can be found on various sites around the Internet is an abstract short film created by Chris Cunningham.
The film itself is difficult to describe in ordinary terms, but it is commonly summarized as follows:
Rubber Johnny documents a 16-year-old, inbred mutant's solitary existence, locked in a pitch-black basement by his ashamed parents. They are TV addict rednecks who occasionally feed Johnny and yell at him for making noise. Johnny's only company in the basement is his little dog. His dog's I.Q. far outstrips Johnny's, who is a completely insane, bi-polar imbecile.

Thank you, Boo. I was unaware that the term had such widespread usage.
*plangent sound like the call of a curlew*
I've never heard the term 'Rubber Johnny' here in the States myself. 'Rubber' was popular for a long time, but 'condom' seems to be the preferred term now, as it's become much more acceptable to use on television or in public. While there are probably hundreds, if not thousands of terms in use, I don't believe that any of them are anywhere near as widespread here as 'condom'.

I remember when I was in 7th grade we had an exchange teacher from the UK - on her first day she instructed us all to take out our rubbers (can't remember why now) and the entire class, being around 12 years old, went into gales of laughter. Oddly, it make quite an impression.

A rubber is an eraser. My poor cousin made the same mistake when she moved over to the states at age 8. She got in alot of trouble with the teacher when she asked a boy sitting beside her if he had a rubber. Poor child! She was only trying to rub out a maths mistake. Her mum had to come into the school to explain.
I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Amazing, but the creepiest thing I've EVER seen..

I don't think it was as creepy as you said, Mikayla, but it did freak me out a little. Near the end you start to think it is an alien, but then it all ends with nothing. It is no good.

Well, I ended up deciding I needed to watch the rest of it that same night. And by the end, I was just dying hysterically. It was pretty damn funny if you think about how creepy the beginning is, and how entertaining the rest is. I thought it was genious.
