Could a Little Boy Be Proof of Reincarnation?

I watched this on Prime Time Live last night and it was pretty facinating.
This little boy has his parents, and the realatives and friends of a dead WWII pilot convinced the boy is a reincarnated version of that fighter pilot.

You're not listening, cranky.
I never said that I believed in reincarnation.
If you would try to clear out all your preconceived notions about what you think reality is, including our [mis]communication, you would know that I've merely been trying to suggest that maybe you should get "yourself" out of the way so that you'll be more receptive to the posibility of new ideas.
You and those like you take great delight in debunking everything that doesn't fit into your narrow view of the universe.
Your childish thoughts about reincarnation are simply ignorant. If you had studied anything except the usual mainstream crap that passes for knowledge, you would know that there are many theories about reincarnation that don't involve "you," per say, being reincarnated.
If there is any form of reincarnation, even if it's only impulses, my bet is that you headed the Inquisition that condemned Galileo for his outrageous claim that the earth rotates the sun.
You were probably shocked when you heard that the earth wasn't flat, too.
It must have been difficult for you to accept.
As Billary Clinton once said, "Ah feel yo pain!"
How's if feel to think that you're "in control," by the way?
A major part of your life is spent sleeping.
Who's in control then?
Wrap your mind around THAT one, Pope Cranky!
Mmmmmm........I feel soooo much better now :o) |

I wouldn't argue Cranky; this one lives in her own world. |

You could even see it from her point of view and she will tell you that you are still wrong. |

Omg.......Sir Stephen, Sir!
Thou hast been serving in the Crusades too long.
Me thinks thou hast shell-shock.
I've got one word to say about Scientology:
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Well, actually, I've got a few more words...lol.
L.Ron Hubbard was a hustler who had a great imagination. He sold a ton of sci-fi books and decided he could make more money in the religion business.
He had an epiphany and dreamed up this scam called Scientology.
Now we have these shills, like Tom Cruise and John Travolta, who continue to propagate the lies. And because there's so many gullible people who worship celebrities, many more are drawn into the sinister, corrupt and dangerous scam.
Hollywood is the best PR that Scamentology has ever had.
Me a Scientologist?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
And no, I'm not a Moonie, either.
Reverend Moon is another hustler who should be in jail instead of his mansion. |

I'm not even sure what JB is saying, so arguing with her is a tad difficult. I'll try though.
We don't particularly take delight in debunking other people's beliefs. We just point out that logically, your 'arguments' make no sense. You are not making any points, just making bizarre insults. Let's try this -
Do you believe in reincarnation?
If so, why?
If so, do you have direct evidence to support your belief and will you provide it?
If you don't believe in reincarnation then what is your point? It seems to have been lost.
Please remember that 'a friend of a friend' is not evidence. Neither is 'personal experience' as we don't know you and have no reason to believe that anything you personally experienced really happened the way you state. Sorry, that's just a fact of life.
One last tip, and I expect to be insulted for this, but please try to keep the ranting to a minimum. Nobody mentioned half the stuff you keep ranting against. Can you stick to the topic at hand please? |

Jamie, you really are blonde. Why are you picking a fight about something so inane on an internet message board? No one gives a crap. |

Ohhhh Chary.....Well JB, you gone and done it...Chary doesn't make a habit of doing that. He only pop's up if someone is being a rambling fool.
And apparently, you grabed his attention. |

Ouuuu....Chary, good to see that you came out of your romantic fog....er, mist......uh, Myst?
Believe it or not, my ranting and rambling actually had a message for you and your cohorts, and if you read what I've said instead of just selecting little sound bytes that fit into your warped view of the world, you would know that, once again, all I'm saying is to be open.....skeptical but open. You got the first part right and practice it so well that you're collectively going through life with virtual blinders on.
Why are you guys so thick? I really thought you were smart enough to grasp even a small bit of the openess thingie. Is the air a little stale in the museum? Are you still breathing that same old 1836 air?
[I don't mean that in a bad way :o)]
And Chary, you fool for love.....I didn't think we were arguing; just having a little fun.
Have you been upset instead of smiling?
I'm sorry, really......I appolize. Look, I'm on my knees begging your forgiveness.
Ciao, everybody, I love you all....PAR-BOILED, as W.C Fields once said about children....lol.
[And Sir Stephen said I don't have a sense of humor.]

Dismissing reincarnation out of hand is about as bad as dismissing the tooth fairy out of hand. There's a muchly much-much more likely explanation, and that is that money is replaced at night by parents. Now if someone could provide evidence that it was a fairy that delivered the money (such as putting the tooth in a container that could only be accessed by a fairy-sized creature, or setting up a video camera), someone would stop and examine. But we always assume human interference first, because it is more likely.Occam's Razor.

jamieblone, once again you have completely failed to post a meaningful response. Do you have a point about reincarnation, or are you just goofing off?
If you want me to be more open, then stop posting garbage and say something meaningful. I am more than willing to listen to any coherent reply that you make. |

Jamie, you provide NO evidence for the existance of reincarnation, then chide us for being "closed-minded" when we don't concede that it exists.
IF you provided any FACTS that demonstrated the existance of reincarnation and we refused to even consider them, you would, in fact, have a legitimate argument that we were being closed-minded. You don't do that, however; you merely assert its existance and expect us to accept it as fact.
It isn't "open-mindedness" you want from us, it's credulity.
On another somewhat related topic, I agree with you about Scientology. I wonder, though, why, since you are so skeptical about the dubious (to say the least) claims of Scientology, you don't apply the same skepticism to reincarnation. |

Hi boys and girls!!
Look, I don't believe in reincarnation either, but I leave myself OPEN to the possibility.
There are serious books written about it, which I've read, [I doubt you have,] and many more with misinformation that merely sensationalize it.
If you really want to have a serious discussion about it, then you should do your homework first. But I suspect that you won't, and will continue to repeat the same things, i.e. "Where's the proof, where's the prooooooof?"
It's easier for you to ridicule things you don't understand than actually investigate it.
I don't see any curiosity from any of you concerning learning more about the human mind, only using your forum to pat each other on the backs and enjoy feeling superior, smug and secure in each other's company.
Have you ever meditated, [or even read a book about it,] and learned through experience that you're not just your bodies?
Of course, in order to do that, you would have to drop your egos, your thinking minds, to achieve that state of being.
Good luck, you guys will need it....lol.
Yea yea, I know......go ahead, it's one more thing you can have fun with.
Btw, I still haven't heard a word from you concerning my post about what state the mind is in when we sleep.
Don't you wonder about these things, or is it more fun to put down anyone who even mentions them?
Here's something else to ridicule.
Last year, I saw either an alien craft or a human technology that hasn't been revealed to us yet.
It wasn't exactly a UFO that was unidentified, because we were close enough, approx 500 feet, to see that it was a saucer-shaped craft....no sound at all and hovered over the lake where we live.
There was no doubt that it was a flying object, the only question for us was the identity of the ones flying it.
We didn't report it because we didn't want the negative attention. The media has done a good job of turning it into a joke and people like you have taken the bait, hook line and sinker.
My guess is that the only things you know about this subject are what you read at the supermarket checkout.
Go ahead, keep laughing, but my husband and kids saw the same thing.
Was the whole family hallucinating? That's one of the responses I'd expect from you geniuses.
Looks like you've got a lot more grist for your ridicule-mill now, huh boys?
Jamie :o)

Trans;ation: Blah, blah, blah, quote.
JB, we'd all appreciate it if you mentioned your points (assuming you have any) in a relevant manner.
If you can't, we'll all assume you're a fourteen year old looking for attention, and your posts will be deleted. |

Reality is that which, when you stop thinking about it, doesn't go away. Keep in mind that the same power for our human minds to be missled also applies to you. If there is evidence that the human essence exists outside the body, that evidence should be presentable to skeptics and not just to those that believe.
Also, you didn't discribe the movement of the craft--for all we know it was just a cloud or an odd building catching the light in a strange way. Also, it might have been a mirage. Would I be wrong if I said that you had strong hopes of seeing a UFO before you saw this object?
We all hallucinate to some degree, and we all can work ourselves up and convince ourselves we see something that isn't there.
In my opinion, keeping an open mind means being skeptical to extrodinary claims of individuals and being open to the possibility of lies and overactive imaginations. |

We'll listen when there's something worth listening to. After all, this is supposed to be a discussion about a news article on the possibility of a little boy being a reincarnation of a WWII fighter pilot... |

Amazingly self centered to think that people should comment on every little thing you say, considering you went wildly off topic. Besides, what do you *really* expect from people who frequent a forum focused on hoaxes? Blind belief, or scepticism? I know what I expect. |

Okay, I gave jb a chance to become coherent. Stephen, feel free to remove any further off-topic posts - I give up trying to make sense of her. She just won't listen. |
