Could a Little Boy Be Proof of Reincarnation?

I watched this on Prime Time Live last night and it was pretty facinating.
This little boy has his parents, and the realatives and friends of a dead WWII pilot convinced the boy is a reincarnated version of that fighter pilot.

I saw this a while back. It's fun to believe, but I think that the parents are making it up. I know the article says "There's no way we could have known that" but it seems suspect to me. |

All I can say is
YEAH. RIGHT.
The parents are just trying to get attention. |

Even sadder than the fact that those people are convinced the boy is "reincarnated" is the fact that this crap was on a "news" show. |

Samba has a point. It IS fun to believe, but I think that the kid's parents fed him the info and then had him tell other people. Especially since in my religon, as far as i have come to interpret it, we think that people have to much to do in heaven and that we get brought back up for a purpose... wheather it be because you have a purpose up in heaven or because the purpose on Earth is already fulfilled. It's bull crap in my opinion. |

I think it's lousy that the parents are encouraging this. That little boy is going to grow up with problems. Can you imagine what it would be like to have your parents constantly telling you you're someone else? That would give anyone a complex. |

Geez, you peeps are so lost. NOTHING would
overcome your mindset.
You've been heavily conditioned all you're lives to not believe in the concept of reincarnation.
You're all so freakin' brainwashed that you've become little programmed skeptic-bots.
You remind me of Liberal Democrats, whose heads are so far up their butts that they think that Prez Bush is a bigger danger than the crazed, primitive Islamic lunatic terrorists.
But I do love you , yes, even you, Rita......you lovely meter maid!
Have a nice day :o)

Jamie, it's up to the person who proposes a theory to prove that it's true. It's not our job to DISPROVE it. Your "logic" makes no sense; since we can't absolutely prove that this boy is the "reincarnation" of someone, that somehow proves that he is? Sorry, that's irrational.
"You remind me of Liberal Democrats, whose heads are so far up their butts that they think that Prez Bush is a bigger danger than the crazed, primitive Islamic lunatic terrorists."
Again, your "logic" makes no sense. Is your point supposed to be that if Bush is less of a danger to the world, then he is NO danger at all?
Here's a radical notion for you to wrap your brain around: Both Bush AND "crazed, primitive Islamic lunatic terrorists" are a danger to the rest of us. Yes, two things--even two things on the opposite side of a dispute--CAN be bad simultaneously. To paraphrase Yakov Smirnoff, "What a concept!"

You didn't "get it."
Here's what you said:

Sure reads like you're "promoting reincarnation" to me. Yes, we certainly ARE skeptical of things for which there is no proof. Everyone *should* be skeptical of things like that.
"And the other thing you had trouble grasping is that the liberal left in the US is so blinded by their hate of George Bush that they are part of the security problem."
I have no "trouble grasping" your premise; I just don't agree with it. In my opinion, the left "hates" George Bush because of the things he has done. His actions came first, the "hatred" came afterwards. Kind of like how the Right hates Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Can YOU wrap your brain around THAT? |

Oh JamieBlonde, thank you for showing me the error of my ways!! I was wrong to be critical of this article. I should just take the parents word for it! I can't believe I was so closed minded!!
(Yes, that was SARCASM)
I believe reincarnation could be a possibility. What I don't believe is this article or the parents of this kid. There are just too many variables explaining it away. |

Just call me sceptic then, cause sorry guys but we have no soul to float off and be re-born when we die, we are but orgainc matter, which i suppose could technically be passed on to form another object in thousands of years (we die, we rot, some trace compounds from our bodies get absorbed by a plant, plant gets eaten by dog, we become dog?), but we won't know about it. |

That doesn't happen anymore due to caskets.
I, myself do not want to be a dog, so I will request to be cremated. |

If you knew anything, Sir Stephen, your Highness, about reincarnation, [which is misunderstood by the majority of people in the world due to the Easily-Led Syndrome......are you listening, cranky?,] you would know that people do not return as dogs or any other animal.
But in your case, Sir, you might return as a Clinton Democrat right out of the box!
You need to remove all the stuff that gives you amnesia.....you guys should try meditation. It'll take a while, but eventually you'll remember your true state of being after removing thousands of years of chaotic "thinking."
Peel that onion that's covering your bio-computer.
Next, you're probably going to tell me that UFOs are just swamp gas and that there really isn't an alien abduction conspiracy....no, not the Mexicans :o)

Let's see...you believe in something the existance of which NO evidence exists and you have the nerve to call OTHER people "Easily-Led"?
Of course we rational people are skeptical of reincarnation. We SHOULD be; so should you. Unless and until you can provide some EVIDENCE for the existance of reincarnation, do not expect anyone here to take you seriously. |

Hmm, as I remember from when I learned about Hinduism, we as human beings spent thousands of lives as rocks, then insects, then cows, then monkeys, or some such thing. I think that be living a particularly depraved or stupid life as a human, one might be demoted to a monkey or dog or some such thing. But I admit my Hinduism is a little rusty. |
