Rita...You get raped by man who outweighs you by about 140 pounds. Also, remember your vagina is about as big around as a nickel, and has about an inch worth of space in it. THEN tell me that a DOG's death is not as bad as a 3 year old getting raped. You sick fuck.
That little girl was happy, playing, and some SICK BASTARD (possibly related to you, since you seem to care about the dog so much) came and hurt her, and she's still alive to remember it.
You are so insensitive. |

P.S. I would kill a million dogs if it meant that no little girls would ever be raped. |

Congratulations, Maegan. I don't care if you would kill a million dogs, because that's you. What I'm trying to say is that it's stupid to criticize someone for feeling badly about a dog. I feel sorry for everyone involved in the situation, I just feel a little worse for the dog since it died and I'm an animal lover.
People are entitled to feel however they want. |

"I just feel a little worse for the dog since it died and I'm an animal lover."
I'm glad to know you'll be the next headline. |

We should move on. Both Rita and Maegan have a point. (Though I think Rita's is poorly worded. But I understand what she means.) My first impulse was to feel pity for that poor dog, but the fact that those little girls were raped is just as bad. |

I agree, Samba. Maegan was the one who attacked me personally, when I was just stating my opinion on the issue. If she doesn't like it, well...that's her problem, because I'll say it again...it's an OPINION.
Some people just don't know how to debate and if they don't, I really couldn't care less about what they have to say. I have no tolerance for insult flinging, and it becomes their problem, not mine. |

I don't care of you have no tolerance for insult flinging, thankfully I can still say you're an asshole, and mean it. |

There shouldn't be a debate on over whose life is more important...or worth more, or more traumatizing.
And Winona is right...I can say you're a sick fuck and mean it. |

The only reason you feel sorry for the dog is because that was the main focus, they mentioned the girls as if it were nothing. If it were worded differently, you might think different. Thats how media works. It's a mind game. |

I'm sorry you feel that way, Maegan. I wasn't debating over who's life was more valuable. I was simply trying to explain for those who were saying upthread they didn't understand why so many people were feeling sorry for the dog when two little girls were raped, as if it's a bad thing or wrong for them to feel sorry for her. You can still feel sorry for an animal while feeling sorry for the human victims as well. The two aren't mutally exclusive.
If it makes you feel any better, the man probably got more time for raping the girls than he did for killing the dog, which is a good thing. |

Also, I agree with Sir Stephen. Part of the reason why more people were commenting on the dog is because the girls weren't mentioned. |

::AHEM::
"SPARTANBURG, SOUTH CAROLINA (FOX Carolina News) - A Campobello teen is accused of raping one neighbor's dog and another neighbor's two little girls. Now the dog has died and charges against the teen have been upgraded."
And under the caption:
"Cory Williamson, 17, is in jail accused of raping his neighbor's dog; and is awaiting trial on charges of molesting a 3-year-old girl and the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl." |

Big deal. Two mentions. The main focus of the article was the dog. If the article had been all about the girls, people would have been talking about them. |

Children who moleste are usually victims of molestation themselves. I wonder who got to this kid first. I think the police need to look at this kids parents. |

Rita, you may need to learn that there are some opinions and feelings you just can't mention in a free society like ours. |

Hm, interesting discussion we've got going here! Maegan has a point about killing animals to save kids, but in this case, the dog dying didn't save anyone. |
