I am one of the hosts and producer of a free internet audio/downloadable radio show called Skepticality ( http://www.skepticality.com/ ). And we are looking for feedback and comments from individuals like yourself!
Our show is about bringing light to legendary lies, myths, conspiracy theories, bad science and the like.
One of the things that we would love to get from folks here, is feedback on what some of the best/funniest hoaxes would be to cover for some of our upcoming shows! Our current show is an interview with a leading astronomer and vocal de-bunker of conspiracy theories surrounding space and astronomy. If you want some idea of what our show normally is like, please visit the website and take a listen to Episodes 1-3.
We offer the show in a couple formats; direct listening or download, as well as 'podcast' format and audio RSS feed pickup.
You can listen, or subscribe to the show for free at:
To download or listen to a show, just click the little 'Pod' icon next to the show names on the front page. There are about 4-5 episodes available now! Also, if you haven't heard of, or haven't checked out podcasting, or audio RSS subscriptions. You can click on the 'get podcast' menu item at the top of the home page. It will give you some information on how to get this show, and others automatically downloaded to your computer when they are released, so you don't have to remember to go to the site to check for new episodes.
Please take a listen, and shoot us some feedback, and if you have any problems or questions, please feel free to email us at

I took this off for a moment, and then had second thoughts, even though someone thought I was CRAPPY for taking it down for a moment...I'll let it slide.
This can stay up for now. I'm being nice for now.

And to be even nicer, I'm gonna saw the site isn't all bad. It's pretty.
Notice that my posting, also brings this back up to the top of the page. Hmm...my being nice today may have cosmic ramifications if I'm not careful.
I won't let your nice side be exposed for too long!

I'm not even going on the site at all. I sense some sinister motive on this guy's part to get us to log on, like Look How Many Times i got these rubes to log on. No way, Jose. I'm not falling for that old scam, no siree-bob. You guys do it first, and let me know what you think, if your comp still works after that. I smell something rotten, and I'm pretty sure it's not Stephen this time.
If you have followed tech news at all, there has been a technology bump in the internet radio world. Some folks have been referring to it as 'podcasting' since people have been putting the pre-recorded shows on thier iPods, or other MP3 players.
There are about 1000 - 2000 free shows out there that use the RSS subscription model now, and it's become so popular that even Apple iTunes and Microsoft are going to put the technology into thier media players now to auto subscribe to shows like this so you don't have to go back to the website to check for new shows. (You can do that with a standard RSS feeder now)
Heck man, I don't even have any google clicky ads on our site, and took down all the crap in the 'stuff you can buy'. I make enough money without having to worry about trying to get anything from the listeners.
All I'm trying to do is get the show out to folks that are actually INTERESTED in this kind of thing, most people would rather watch American Idol, or The O.C. then anything to do with this type of entertainment.
So why do we do it? Partly because I now have a job where I work, make good money and don't have to put up with Clear Channel, (I used to do Morning Show radio), so I can now just do the type of stuff I want, and a few of us are talking to XM Radio to get onto a channel together. But, to do that, we need to tighten up our format and such, so this is one big experiment on that side, either way we are keeping the free show going, that's the one line in the sand we all drew with the Satellite Radio people.

I love that scene in GhostBuster II, where they reintroduce Dr. Peter Venkman, and he's a host on a Public Access show about The Unexplained and Paranormal. The show featured a guy who predicted the end of the world in a book, just before the book came out, some lady who claimed to have been seduced by an Alien at a Holiday Inn in Paramus, NJ, and a hairless Egyptian cat. That kinda scared me, hairless and all. I hate that stuff. I think this guy might be Bill Murray, messing with us. I'm skeptical. Sorry. I had to.
A good feature would be "Doomsayers after Doomsday," where you collect famous psychics and whatnot whose days of destruction have passed by. If they still want publicity, they'll come on the air with some cockamamie story.
Also, for people who claim to have contact with advanced alien civilizations, pull Sagan's old trick--ask them for solutions to Fermat's Last Theorem.

Don't forget that our village idiot Stephen has time travel capabilities. (Ha, Stephen, couldn't resist.)
Ok, insult me again and I will smite you.....I have a strong urge to remove this....It's eating me up.....I havent deleted anything for a while, I have been nice.
I need destruction!!!! Anarchy.....Some of you are boring me now and I will not stand for it....I might go back to my old ways just to spark stuff up again.
That's a good idea, we've had people already ask if we could get some of the actual 'hoaxter' types on, and put them up against the wall a bit.
I think I'd really like to do that, but have it be a couple guests in 'roundtable' format with debate rules. Try to make it less like Fox News/CNN style people yelling at each other. I'm going to try to set that up once I have the equipment to handle more than one caller with any quality.
Our next big interview show is going to be with some of the folks that actually make crop circles. Talk about how they do it, etc, etc...
