Psychopath Test

I think this has been circulating around for a while. It was never really used as a test by an American psychologist:

A woman, while at the funeral of her mother, met this guy whom she did
not know. She thought the guy was amazing, her dream man! She fell in
love with him instantly, but never asked for his phone number and could
not find him after the funeral. A few days later she killed her sister.
Question: What is her motive in killing her sister ? (Give this some
thought before you answer) then scroll down for the answer.
Answer:
She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again.
If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a
test by a famous American psychologist used to test if someone has the
same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in
the test and answered the question correctly. If you didn't answer the
question correctly, good for you - you're normal.

I think someone is a psychopath when he isn't clever (at all) and answers right quickly.
Clever ppl can find the answer, coz this is logic, but not in their very nature.

 That figures I got it right no real suprise here. Been looking at people as if they were inferior my whole life. It's not something you want to do but can't help it with stupidity all around. Carter if they do have those feelings its very little trust me. The only person I really fell anything for in this world is my son. |

What I observed, I thought to myself no more than a 1 second, that she had killed her very own sister, so that person of a man who she herself fell in love with(for reasons I dont understand and will never understand), would be seen at her sisters funeral, I wasnt surprised I got the answer right. After re-reading everything on this page 3 times, I found myself quite amused |

what a silly test, the only logical answer is that the man would show up at another family members funeral, this should be the sadisticly genius test, even though i got it right i dont believe i should be judged to have the mind of a killer, i dont feel like a killer... but then again crazy people dont think they are crazy... |

As a licensed psychologist who works in this arena with 30 years of experience, I wonder where this woman Barbara who said this was a hoax got her information from. While I cannot imagine this being a part of any test, especially a one-item test, to diagnose anti-social personality disorder (which this is), the situation provided can indeed be very real. I've seen psychopaths do very similar with much less excuse.
If you look at AOLs news today, they in fact give a case of a young man convicted of murder. He killed a peer for sitting on a table at his house during a party, and apparently the victim didn't comply when the killer asked him to. So he was shot 5 times and dumped out onto the street.
His mother is trying to prove he did not have a fair trial and that he is innocent, but it doesn't look like it.
So regardless of whether the actual incident with the sisters is true, the situation does indeed represent similar incidences. And I'm sorry- some people are crazy AND stupid. |

Dr. JPT, as a licensed psychologist who works in this arena with 30 years of experience, I wonder why you would use the terms "crazy" and "stupid" in describing people. Seems like you're not very professional, and you went to all the trouble of calling yourself "Dr" JPT.....Maybe you could add another term to your impressive vocab there, doc: LAME. And you've seen psychopaths do this? Have you? Have you really? Or have you just watched batman a couple too many times?
As it turns out, I got the question wrong, and now I'm so upset I think I'd better hack up my brother and put his limbs in the freezer.... |
