In fact, I almost couldn't hold my laughter in while I was sitting at my desk. I was willing to risk getting (HA!) FIRED for laughing at this.
It IS a funny video, b/c someone did something STUPID and (surprise) they got HURT.
That is the funniest sort of humor. When people are injured by their stupid stunts. |

I still think it's funny when people do stupid things & hurt themselves....Like the time my brother shot himself w/ a BB gun in his own bum.
Anywho...that's not the funniest type of humor. The funniest kind is when someone is getting made fun of & thinks they're getting complimented. |

Leonidas, I really only thought a few of your comments were totally uncalled for. I could have left some of them, but then you wouldn't be as pissed off as would be with the whole post gone.
Being a Christian myself, Boo...I'd like to apologize (or apologise, whichever you prefer!). We're not all buggy and rude. (All the time anyway.)
And back to the original thread...People who bring pain upon themselves are truly funny. After all, no one can stop them but themselves. |

How to Argue A short guide
1. Before typing anything make sure your position is the right one. Research if you have too.
2. Check to see the type of people that frequent where you intend to place your arguement. Are they most likely to support you or be against you. There's no point visiting a feminist's forum and claiming all women should stay in the kitchen unless it is your life's ambition to get flamed.
3. Think about what you want to say, make sure you include all points of your arguement.
4. Check it through, see if you can find any gaping holes in your argument. Remember if you leave something your opponents WILL find it. Also remember arguments made without evidence to back them up are very open to contradiction.
5. Do not fall into the trap of insulting any of your opponents. By using insults you are signalling that you have no real argument and that you have already lost.
6. Be open to your opponents point of view. If they are wrong, point out why they are wrong in careful measured words. By all means ask them to supply evidence of their arguments or refute them with evidnece of your own.
7. Never be afraid to back down if an opponents argument is too strong for you (even if you know you're right but can't find the right words or the evidence to back you up). Remember most people will forget this in a day or two whereas if you resort to insults no-one will ever forget.
8. When losing an argument on a forum, remember it is not the end of the world. It is not even slightly important. |
