I'd hate to be elected to be something like the Pope. Too much responsibility and fame. If anybody ever did elect me, the first thing I'd do is convert to Judaism. Watch them try to sort that out!

He can't have been too strongly opposed to becoming Pope. I'm sure if he was that dead set against it, there would have been some way he could have turned doen the position.
theres isnt much of an option of turning down the position, they believe that God acts through the cardinals to choose who he wants as pope. hence turning it down would be to reject God's will. not something you'd want to do on your first day as pope.
Well that's got to suck then! Maybe he could try some of that cyanide that's being offered around here...

So, whether or not he prayed to NOT become Pope...he had more people praying against him TO become Pope. He was simply outnumbered.

God made MAN in HIS image right? i'd be more comfortable calling God It, no sense in arguing over that. anyway... im sure he was clawing at the chance to become pope. with all those people loving you and practically idolizing you before the actual God. who wouldn't want that gig? either way, catholicism is the whore in revelations... i don't beleive God is or ever was thriving in catholicism. maybe for a millisecond before all the materialism and idolizing mary set in. catholicism will end soon i feel. pick up your bible and stick to it. theres too much in the catholic church that goes against it's teachings for God to house within it.

The pope and all of the catholics think he is standing as Christ, but little do they all know that he is the BIGGEST anti-Christ this world has. The catholic religion has many, many of them. Every single priest is an anti-Christ. Everyone. If you know your bible, you would understand this!
