Ahhh...Charybdis, I'm sorry! In my head all I see a u instead of a d, just because it makes it easier to pronounce to myself.
Yah, that's the other thing. The threads not even closed, it's just been taken off the list of forums. Therefore, anyone who had already started to argue here, or whatever, can continue to. It just makes it a little harder to find if you hadn't commented here in the past.
Oh, and in response to your comment: "Don't you sound like a bar owner from the time before the 60s,who also paid his rent,meanwhile didn't allow the black people in."
In case you haven't noticed, this thread wasn't taken off the list of topics because the moderators didn't like that someone of a certain race that was commenting. It was taken off because people were acting like asses. A debate is different then an argument in that a debate is progressive, while an argument isn't.
Even today, in America, which I assume you are from by what you say about the FBI and your usage of the word "freedom", a bar owner is alowd to refuse service to anyone. Now, of course if he just refused service to a persons of a certain race, for no other reason, he could be brought to court and be liable. However, if he decided to kick out some of his patrons because they were being rowdy, he would have every right.
I'd like to see you go get the FBI because of this thread. They would wonder why you are wasting their time. |

Umm...if the bar owner was paying rent wouldn't that mean he doesn't own the bar? |

Have you found my Stepmother yet ?????????????? Have you ever read a book in you life? Or do they automatically combust into flames on arrival in Hell? Have you ever heard of the battle of "Waterloo (1815)" or " The Falkland Island's"(1982) Or the battle 'Trafalgar'(1805).............The 'Spanish Armada'(1588)......etc. etc. etc.At one time the Brit's as you call them controlled 1/4 of the world. Sorry, I should have realized that it would be a little confusing to people who don't realize he already has issues with me from another thread.
He obviously didn't catch on that I was half-joking about America's general view of the rest of the world and not talking about my personal views at all. |

Thanks! Actually, I had completely forgotten that this thread existed. I just went back a page and read all the comments leading up to here and I was actually surprised that I wrote the ones I did. They do sound really good and I make good points. Of course, I only vaguely even remember writing them so I feel like I can actually compliment myself.
Also, I can't believe I've been posting to MoH since May 2005...that's a long time ago...
I should probably get another hobby...well, either that or a job. |

Oh, though I do remember spelling Charybdis' name wrong. I've taken extra care since to make sure I spell it write.
Oh, and also, in terms of being sharp, it's really not that hard when you're arguing with crazies. We get a lot of them around here. |

Hey Sleeps With Dogs.....Thanks for clearing that up for me.....I'v been told so more than once that I am..........Been told I'm worse than that by some people with no sense of humor......... Fair is fair I got my handle because I'm a Paralized Vet from the 70's and when I cut gas sitting in the wheelchair the reverbations sound like thunder! I noticed you had been certified sane 3 times....As for myself only twice....When they let me in the service and again when they let me out......Any ties to Gang Green???? |

It was my mistake not to date my refernce point of 4/25/05 when I was making my reply about "The Brit's" And I thank Sleeps With Dogs for pointing that out to both you and I my mistake . And I'd like to commend you for being the spokesman for the American point of veiw about the rest of the world..........Have you personally talked to all of us? As for having issues with you, rest assured I do not!That would imply internet babel has any meaning. But facts are facts and thats all I stated about your statement .............And you are correct that I didn't catch on that you were 1/2 joking...........Is that like being kinda pregant? |
