The fact is that we all live a lie.According to where we come from.
I was born in Russia during the Cold War.
And you know what,they never tought us in school that a russian by name Igor
Sikorsky invented the helicopter.And the names of Wassily Kandinsky(famous
artist)and igor Stravinsky(famous composer)never were mentioned in Russian
education system and many others because of political reasons.They left to
the West and were considered as a traitors to Communist Russia.
So what are we tought in schools is a reflection of what our govervents and
cultures believe in.
THE WHOLE HISTORY OF THE WORLD IS THE BIGGEST HOAX OF THEM ALL.

Sure, I agree with this...no one has the right to just go and take what they want...especially by force...but when they do, who will stop them? I'm not saying it's up to the U.S. to stop them, frankly, I don't think we should have to help anyone. Other countries have ASKED for our help. Remember the Tsunami distaster? The first video clips I saw had people screaming, "Where is American now, why aren't they helping?"
We have been helping people for years. Funds to restart their countries after war (and if we got something out of helping, why shouldn't we? We're spending money that could go back into our country), teams of U.S. educated contractors...
It's like people expect it. If we've helped one group of people, why shouldn't we just help them all? It's not fair to say "You get the helping hand of America...but not you, I don't like your sausage."
We should just stop helping. I hate to say it, and I'd hate for that to actually happen...but if we pull our support (not just troops, but contractors, businessfolk...) and let everyone do it all on their own...then no one will expect it from us in the future.
I'm having a hard time following the thread, b/c this is just not something that I'm up on, currently. So...Sorry Rod, I am once again, advising I'm going to stop replying & coming in here...if you really think I need to hear what you're going to say next...send me an email. |

Here is an opinion of a well-educated african-american(or an Afrikan,living and teaching in
the USA) on Columbus.
I personally would disagree with the most of his statement ,nonetheless it is an
opinion,that is without any question shared by many african-american people.Dr. Nantambu

In the first place, Christopher Columbus was a smooth, slick, deceiving operator. He had many aliases; he was a con-man. In Italy, he was known as Cristoforo Colombo; in Portugal, he used thename Cristovao Colom; in Spain, he was Cristo Colombo.
Seriously, doesn't this guy realize they're the same names?
Of course, Columbus knew that meat needed seasoning because he studied navigational skills in Guinea, Afrika.

I have to say, that I feel the same way about the article(it's ludicrous).

To answer,why USA is my home.
Because I love USA.
Also I love New York City.I think it's the greatest city in the world.Some assholes did a damage to it's greatness.But it will rebound and will become a place of fun and culture,as it was few years ago.

I just wanna get it all over with.
On April 23rd I was surfing the Internet.
By pure accident I ran into this Forum.
It did seem like the right place to post my original message here(at this Forum),that was on my mind for many years.So I did.
Tell you the truth,I am not sure I did the right thing.It didn't change my life in any way.I had insaulted few people and was insaulted by others.
I've been feeling like an intruder.
I didn't know who was who here.I didn't know that Smerk was a female.Most likely I would reply to her comments differently,if I knew that.
I'd like to apologize to everybody at this Forum for being pain in the ass.
I hope that this tread will fade away in a week or so.

statistics only.I don't share this guy's political views.
It's been quite difficult to get any statistics on the Soviet Russia-Nazy Germany
confrontation during WWII on the Web.Unfortunately this is the only website that have them.

What a madness? 2 countries,led by 2 supervillains.Astronomical casualties on both sites.
Wars should be outlawed.
Today is May.7.The war in Europe officially ended 60 years ago on May.7.1945.
I dedicate my comments to the memory of all those who died during this colossal conflict of many nations on both sites:

3.There are at least 200.000 recent immigrants from the former USSR republics in NYC area
alone.
4.There is at least 1.000.000 jews live in NYC area,at least have of them trace their roots
to Russia.
5.It's a well known fact that immigrants,while being a driving force, always have been
