Not To Be Sniffed At
Scientists have come up with a potion to make people more trusting. Swiss volunteers who sniffed the chemical became more willing to give cash to a stranger. It is also thought that the chemical, oxytocin, could be used to investigate social dysfunction such as shyness, but the findings in the journal, Nature, raise the possibility of abuse by a politician to win votes, or a marketeer to sell products. |

The one about the judge offering drug addicts a chance to go to church instead of jail seems very illegal to me, not to mention a security problem. If people are ADDICTS, isn't it not right to let them go back out onto the streets just as long as they spend their Sunday mornings in church. Isn't that forcing a choice between jail and religion. Then again, it doesn't seem that different to me then forcing people by court order to attend AA meetings. AA meetings are religious in nature as well. |

I agree with you entirely, Razela.
These people have a drug problem and have committed crimes.
I totally don't understand how this is supposed to work. |

That judge is actually from this area Boo... and just to answer Razela, "Yes, his actions are bordering on illegal which is why he's currently under review and about to be removed from the bench." You read about him in the Kentucky Journal from time to time and it's always about some outrageous thing he's done. |

Well, I suppose he'd at least be entertaining. |

Heh, figures =) Glad to hear of him being "under review and bout to be removed from the bench." A person like him has no right to be passing judgement on others from the few sentences I've heard (although obviously, I only know little pieces of the story).
Heh, anyways, thanks for the clarification M&J. By the way, is it just me, or does your avator change practicaly every day? I like the one you have now because miss avril is not scowling as in some of the other ones. |

I do love it when you get feedback from people who live in the area.
And on Avril, it's better than most of them, I suppose.

Tchuh. North Australia??? There's a lot of North Australia. Katherine is found specifically in the Northern Territory! And it doesn't surprise me re the drink-driving. |
