Awww, duzzums feel wipped off?
Ain't it too bad you had to be a dick and make everybody hate you to get that money which you now feel you've wasted?
I read somewhere around here that most of the book and site content were the same, and I still ordered the book. Partly to have a portable copy, and partly to support the site and Alex.
How many hoaxes do you think he could find, anyway? Should he never have written about them on the site, just because they were already in print? It would be an awfully small site if he kept all of the good stuff for his book.

Actually, not everything in the book is on the site. But yeah, I've ended up porting most of it over to the site.
A couple of reasons for this. When I wrote the book I wanted to make it a lot longer, more in depth, and have a lot more pictures. But my publisher didn't go for this, so it ended up not quite being the way I had originally imagined it. The beauty of having the site, however, is that I can keep adding to the hoaxes, updating them, including as many pictures as I want, letting people leave comments on them, etc.
Also, having the stuff on the web acts as a kind of marketing tool. It increases the chance of people stumbling across the site and eventually deciding to buy the book. After all, I think the material is easier to read in book form than in online form.
The next book, however, isn't going to be online since it would be harder to adapt to a web format. |

I remember a while ago you had said that you had been leaking everything from your book onto the site over time. It wouldn't stop me from buying the book, but if someone feels ripped off, tough cookie.
If on the other hand you feel what Alex does is fun & worthwhile, then it ain't a loss, is it? Otherwise, choke. |

ooook, I read everything here since I left Friday. Thank you, Maegan, for being the only one in here that can see what I was trying to say.
As for Rod, I believe I apologized to you. I stoped changing peoples words in posts if I didn't like what I was hearing.
Hairy, I really don't know what to think about you anymore.
Charibdis, well, your acceptable for some reason, probably cause of the Avatars you use. |

I agree, Stephen, you did stop changing people's posts.
And actually, no, you never apologized to me.
Anywhere.
If you had, I wouldn't be holding a grudge of any sort. In fact, the main reason that I think you are fair game to be made an ass of is that I never got an apology when you DID screw around with my posts. |

Oh,.... well then, I guess it is too late to appologize on my part. You ,on the other hand, NEED to appologize for not giving me the Proper RESPECT I am intitled too!!!! |

An amount, I should point out, that lessens with every one of your posts containing my name. |

Wow, this seems to be going nowhere fast. Stephen, you really know how to appease people.
Just remember, the eleven year old is acting more mature than you, albeit with poorer spelling and grammar.

...I read that last line as "met a man who has not a Member," so it ended up giving me a chuckle. Heh.
Anywho...Does anyone else really want to make something explode right now, ya know, to sort of take the "Monday Morning" edge off? |

P.S. It was commented that Stephen Himself was looking for this girl, but had a girlfriend. Note that Stephen mentioned he came across it a few years ago. So, even if it was his, it's old and his current girlfriend may have fit the bill. |

Alright everyone. Maegan's wired. Stand back and give her space. Don't anybody make any sudden moves. We'll have her defused shortly. Move along. Nothing to see here. |
