Things from the eighties are now considered antiques (not that all of the objects are)? Are antiques not something from another era? In this case, the era would be the 'racist' era (because of the subject matter). An era which, last time I checked, still continues.
Yes, it is promoting hate. Just because something is old does not mean that it's not hateful.
I think they should let the guy hold the auction.
Not that I side with HIM, I just think that if you stop one person from doing something this stupid, you open the door to the stopping of not-so-stupid things.

It does suck to be the other people in whatever community that the auction ends up being held in, this guy is just gonna end up leaving a really bad reputation somewhere.
And he may also leave a reputation of towns and cities who like to suppress people's rights.
He does, after all, have the right to sell this stuff.
Like I said, I don't agree with him, but if you start suppressing the rights of the people, you'll end up living in an american style system (Whoops, did I just cut down the american government? Silly me).
