Oh, speaking of pissed. IIRC, when I was using "pissed" to mean drunk when I first came correctly, everyone thought I meant "pissed off" as in really angry. |

I understood your meaning before, but now I'm confused. "...when I first came correctly,..." - how many times did you cum incorrectly before you got it right?

ROFL! I didn't realize how little sense that made - I'm very distracted today. I can come correctly now, thank you. :o
I may want to practise some just to be sure, though. |

Oh my.
Dude, Yanks can totally understand British/Australian/Canadian spellings! Some of us even know what "lorry" means, too!
You're right about the use of the word "pissed", though--it's not used at all in America to mean drunk, it just means angry, so you're only going to confuse us if you use it.
And just for reference, you don't want to call people who live in the southern US "Yankees" or "Yanks", either, as they'll most likely be wildly offended. |

A friend of mine is a "prouuuuud sutherner". I hadn't heard some of the slang terms till after I came here, so one day I asked him if he was a "cracker". (I had heard it at work and wanted to know) He was pretty offended, to say the least. |

I may live in Texas, but since I was born in California (ie - the winning side) I don't mind being called a Yank. I see it as a term of affection like "Limey", "Aussie", "Canuck", or "Frog".
P.S. - Do the French really call Brits "Roast Beef" or am I just making that up? |

I work with some genuine hill-billys here in Kentucky that would consider you calling them a Yankee "fightin' words" and believe me they're serious! No matter that you have a different meaning for the word or that you explained your usage... the "fued" would be on!
PS - Rod, we grew up on Schwann's home delivery too... imagine my surprise when I found a MAJOR factory right up the road in Florence, Ky where apparently most of their products are produced. Also, isn't it ironic that they (Schwann's) will only sell 100% juice to the Canadians (foreign) but here in America they can screw us over with only 15%??? Typical American government... |

Also Smerk,
I suppose we spell color incorrectly to right?

Let's see...
I had a boss who was from Detroit. He said for the first few years he was in Canada he was trying to figure out why people would go to the bar here looking to get mad.
And MnJ, both color and colour are accepted in Canada. HOWEVER, the word to is a transitive verb, and the word too means also.

It would be more ironic if the hundred percent stuff there, and then shipped it out of the country.
Which they probably do. |

Yeah I know about the whole too / to thing but, like most of us, I sometimes get in a hurry and don't proofread my posts' enough. Doesn't too also refer to an amount or additional / excessive amount like as in... "that price was too much."? Whatever, at least I know the difference between your & you're, there - their - & they're... so it could be worse...

I used it correctly when addressing you Rod, and then didn't when throwing in my afterthought to Smerk... so at least I get it right some of the time... |

Point being Rod,
That although it wasn't exactly correct, it was correct enough for you to get my meaning...
Much like your statement of...
"It would be more ironic if the hundred percent stuff there, and then shipped it out of the country.
Which they probably do."
is a little off somewhere, but I understood in the end.
PS - I'm sure you're right, they probably do make the 100% stuff here and then ship it out to you while we get the 15% stuff. Typical... |

Smelled nice when I took the picture. Turned male, and was sacrificed.
And yeah, I just realized that I screwed my last post here up, and hoped I could correct it befoe you noticed it, seeing as how I was ribbing you along the same lines. Alas, I was too late...
I just thought it was funny to point out, seeing as how it was in a post pointing out spelling mistakes.
I've read your previous posts, and yes, I know that you're literate, which made it all the more fun to point out. |

I know Rod... I see the irony and humor in it as well... which is why I thought maybe you had screwed up that post on purpose...
Figured it was either that, or it had turned out female...

Well, if it was female I would have sacrificed it too, but with a lot more ceremony, probably including a few friends.
Wow, what was the topic of this thread again? Ice cream or something, was it not?
