This is gross.
I wonder if it's real?
It seems to me that they would have released a little more info, but hey, it's only been online for 2 days.
The lack of info, of course, makes me question its authenticity.
I would have to imagine that whoever lost their finger didn't just keep working and bleeding all over everything.
I think they probably would have noticed the digital reduction, if not the torrents of blood.
And did it get washed before it hit the fries? If it didn't would there not be blood all over the fries?
April First is coming up, but it's not here YET.

This woman needs to get a life, and stop suing people. Maybe she's related to Tim? (hee hee)
Although Associated Press HAS printed this retraction of one of their stories...
The original said she had recieved a settlement for her daughter getting sick at a restaurant.
"Lies, lies, lies -- that's all I am hearing," she said. "They should look at Wendy's. What are they hiding? Why are we being victimized again and again?"
''I used the cooler to keep beer in when I barbecue,'' said Bono, 24. ''I had to get a new one.''
It seems she has changed her focus of complaint a little. Before she was complaining about the finger, now she's whining that they took her cooler. |

Update:
Woman decline to file suit against Wendy's.
Isn't that basically an admission that you know they had nothing to do with it?
And I'm pretty sure they can take HER to court for what she's done, if they so chose. But they would never get anything out of her.
A guy from Wendy's said "We will continue to fully cooperate with the police investigation.", which to me means that the police are still investigating.
I think she'll probably end up with food tampering charges, or something along those lines, but eventually she's gonna have to tell them where she got the finger. Maybe more charges along those lines.
Well, she DID seem to like visiting courtrooms in the past. |

Okay, I realized during the week that I have been remiss in my duties in regard to this thread...
Not enough bad jokes or silly questions.
SO...
I'll bet she really knocked 'em dead with the "severed finger in a box" gag when she was a little kid...
This article claims she was arrested in relation to the case, but offers no details.
"I had just left to get some soda at the store, and when I came back she was gone and there were cars from the (Las Vegas and San Jose) police," said Bono, 23, who lives with Ayala. "They said it for grand theft or something."
"People can say what they want and destroy my family, but it's not true," Ayala said last week. "This is really ruining my kids and me and dragging my family through the mud. It's killing us."
Poor, poor (no pun intended) woman.

Police Claim Wendy's Finger Case a Hoax
For anyone interested, here is a fairly in-depth article on the situation.
Wow, this woman either had balls-o'-steel, or absolutely NO fucking brains whatsoever. Apparently she's tried some pretty ballsy/stupid stuff.
Now, I guess, I'll have to wait a while to see how much time she gets. |

It's because of people like her that make me think there should be a cap on trying to sue someone.
Seriously, wait to sue when you get a stethescope left in your bowel. |

Boy, did I call this one or what?
The Digital Blues.
I wonder what percentage they promised the guy whose finger they used? After all, with the way medicine is today, I'm pretty sure they could have re-attached it. It's not like it was put through a blender or anything.
"Sgt. Nick Muyo said someone other than the man who lost the finger called in the tip to the hot line."
Umm, Maybe he's still learnig to dial without the missing finger...

But THIS is just disturbing...
"Nevada employers are only required to report deaths or injuries causing the hospitalization of three or more employees"
So, if seveteen get injured but don't see the doctor, it never happened?
"Jeez, men, sorry aboot the fingers. We'll pay you to take the next two months off, as long as you don't go to the doctor. We've got one on site here that's the best. Meet Dr. Nick Riviera."
