I am totally a fool. And to think that I spread the news to the Zimbos all over here that MJ has finally given the bucket a painful kick... I am really a fool. And i especially liked the part when some news repoter head screams and darkness, chillness but when she opened the door found MJ in pyjamas with kids eating icecream!!!! |

Don't know, and don't care where AFL originated from. Wrong code. I prefer football the european way myself.
I would say that since it is called Aussie Rules, then, yes, it was created here. I don't know what they based it on. I can't (and won't) follow it to save my life! Rugby's just as bad, although it's slightly more understandable (except for some people trying to call it football).
Hang on, vague memories being dredged up. AFL originated in Victoria, Australia, so was originally called VFL. Then everyone else got in the act, so they upped it to AFl. Each state has a code (love the way ours is pronouced, its WAFL...mmm waffles...) and the national league is AFL. |
