This is pretty funny. I've heard this before and I knew it was an urban legend. I personally can't stand KFC, never could, even as a child. One day I was stuck somewhere and the Colonel was my only option. I went in and was looking at the menu and realized that the word "chicken" was nowhere on there. I had a hard time ordering with a straight face. |

I used to be a chicken...then the colonel offered me a job. 'See the world' he said and led me to his office. After feeding me a myriad of drugs as a 'precautionary measure' against time dilation I was loaded onto a gurney. Then I began to notice changes in my body...I never realized I would never be the same again *sniff*
All my feathers fell off and I became a blob of an organisms. No other chickens would cluck to me anymore. They took parts of me and cloned me to make an army...an army of food. Damn that colonel and his soothing hot oil bath. |

Why would they get rid of the beaks? That's the best part. |

I worked for KFC for 8 years (I know, it's sad but it got me through all my studies) and I can assure you that real chickens were used. (Well they are in Australia, I don't know what the hell they're feeding you guys)
KFC don't run their own chicken farms, they get supplied by proper chciken suppliers (here it's Inghams). So if the chickens aren't 'real' then it's actually the chicken company that is doing it, not KFC.
Personally, if you cook something in THAT much oil, I don't consider it to be proper food anymore anyway, with or without beaks. |

The Food Network stated that KFC changed it's name because the state of Kentucky did something so they can charge a tax for businesses that use the states name. Even the "Kentucky Derby" would have to pay this outragious tax. KFC refused to do this so, thus, KFC was born. |

Also, about the chicken mutalations, here are some good links to see chicken abuse videos and then a link to KFC defending themselves.

It's true that the chickens we eat do not live happy lives, but that's a whole different story. Animal abuse does not raise the same outrage as genetic engineering. I'd have to say though, that I'd feel better eating genetically engineered animals that felt no pain and were pretty much just organs and muscle grown in a machine. Or, if they did have brains, we could link them into some sort of pleasure device. A chicken matrix, if you will. |

The Chicken Matrix. I think that would make a great movie. And Keanu could still play the lead. |

The only reason I eat at KFC is to celebrate the PETA boycott of KFC. Every time I see some idiotic celebrity - usually a rock star of some kind - telling me how evil the Colonel is, I make a beeline straight to the nearest KFC to reward them for pissing off PETA.
The counter help get a real kick out of it. |

KFC Worker: Welcome to KFC, may I take your order please!
Customer: I'll have a bucket of extra crispy genetically engineered chicken.
KFC Worker: Would you like that with or without the feathers? |

You know, a lot of what they said about factory farms is true, but who would ever take it seriously when shown like that? Some people really suck at analogies. |

i went to the kfc on rome-hilliard road today and got a bucket of chicken. we found hair on the chicken--so we could not eat any of it. i can prove this as i kept the hair. |

this is a hoax! kfc uses real chickens they are only genetically modified. they are kept on a diet of growth promoters and kept in small spaces that is why people are so skeptical of them. |
