Stephen, as long as you can handle taking orders from women, you'll be fine. The last guy who worked here had a problem with that, but he still lasted 2 years. |

A woman in her forties-
I still look like I'm in my twenties. I've struggles throughout my life with this issues. This summer, I had three more comments, one exceptionally painful. A man asked me to be his wife and have children with him. He asked me what year I was born. I was honest and said in the 1960's. He broke off the engagement immediately because I was too biologically old. He thought I was much younger. Two women that I work along with asked me my age. I lied and said that I was in my thirties, they said that I did'nt look that old. Pssst- I'm in my forties!!!
I have always struggled professionally because of the biases of looking too young.
My next move is facial reconstruction!! It has to be done! I cannot live like this any more! |
