according to this TV show I saw, the Titanic never sank.
It's sister ship had a hole in it somewhere and so the owners disguised it
as the Titanic and sunk it for the huge insurance payments?!
Some have said that the Titanic is actually now being used as a private
ferry for Hitler!
It is by street car motion pictures and is called why they sank Titanic. I have it as a div x windows media file, i would gladly send it you somehow.

What the are you insane people talking about? Okay first of all titanic did sink okay get that straight. Next I would like to say that Hitler is DEAD! DEAD! Next Atlantis is a sunken city there is no-one on there. You people need to look on the internet or in a library and READ about things before you post some non-sense like this...I mean you people are just un-believeable. READ thats what Americans and other people of the world need to do READ and then THINK. Obviously that is something that doesnt come when people are born.

Wat a nice world it would be if everything was balck and white and everyone was honest and everything we were told and were to read was true. Unfortunately that is not the case. I know Hitler is dead and Atantis is underwater and nobody lives there, but what I am saying is that it is not beyond the realms of possiblity that something was not right. I don't say that is how it was but is is a view from the other side of the coin. It still happens all the time now, so why not then? Yes a ship sank, yes with great loss of life, yes it was called the Titanic. It does not mean it is the truth the whole truth and nothng but the truth. It does not really matter anyway. What is done is done. It is just one of those things where it captures the imagination of people, they mourn the loss of the machine as much as the people, because of what it was. The only other thing where people seemed to feel as much for the machne was when concorde whent down.
Anyway, lighten up, it is just a few people having a light hearted view.
This is rather intresting.... if you have a clip of this "show" you were watching, or find a clip about the ship that apparently didn't exist, please do let me know!
I'm just a tad intrested.

So white star scuttled the titanic claiming it was the olympic. Then they used olympic (which was really the titanic) for years to come. Surely this is proof as the olympic was too damaged to continue. So how come it did.
If the titanic had sunk and the olympic did not then the olympic would be sat up in a dry dock unable to sail.
BigG -- the story is pure bullshit. I'd have heard about it years ago if it had any legs at all. Plus it would be on Snopes.com, for that matter. And its not.

Actually, they made the two ships side by side, and there was a cheap version of the titanic, they thought it would make it to new york, but they were wrong, they planned on sinking it when everyone was safely off board, but it never made it as it hit an iceberg.
After the ship sank it's not like just after that people are like ahhhhhhhhhh! there is a ghost or mummy next to me ahhhhhhhhhh! and start running like a free ranged chiken oh wait there is a ghost next to me not realy!

I actually know for a fact that the Titanic sunk. My great grandma was a survivor, who has since passed away. She had a bunch of old photos and stories from the Titanic.

Nobody is saying that a big ship didn't sink, the conspiracy is whether is was the Titanic or Olympic. If your great grandma was on the ship that sunk then she would have believed it was the Titanic as it's name plate etc. were changed.
I'm not saying this happened, but this is what the conspiracy is: The Olympic was worthless because of damage from a collision and the company decided to swap it's identity with the Titanic and sink it. Everyone on board would have thought they were on the titanic whereas they were on the Olympic.
I could have happened, but it is a conspiracy that would have involved so many people that someone would have proof.
The only thing that is slightly odd, is that the Olympic was damaged and not allowed to sail. But it did even after the Titanic sunk.

The switch theory makes sense, and lets face it, any company, then and now will try to make profit no matter what it costs. If you think that paying money to people like the White Star Line gives you a special place in their hearts then your awfully silly.
Money and its acquisition is the root of many a malady, look whats happening with the worlds banks and see exactly what I mean... it's greed pure and simple.
