Jesus Christ Action Figure

LOL!!!

I wonder if this is a hoax. The site says:

"WE'RE DESPERATE!!! WE PUT THE ACTION FIGURE USED IN THE COMMERCIAL ON EBAY...WE NEED TO SELL IT TO KEEP THE SITE RUNNING!"

...but the auction has been pulled.

Plus they're going on and on about how hard-up they are to keep the site going. With 1.3+ million hits to the site you'd think they could simply be selling enough action figures to keep it going.

Yeah, "thepope@jesus-action-figure.com" *can't* be someone who has a healthy respect for the real Pope, can it?

There are a lot of google hits on "jesus action figure" from people who seem to be selling bona-fide jesus action figures.

Here are some more funny ones though:

Great video! That should push a lot of buttons on some Jesus freaks. Seriously though, I think he is just trying to make money by soliciting donations. After all, it only takes $10 a month to keep a website up.

$10 a month if the site isn't using much bandwidth, but since he's running a video on the site, that's going to use quite a bit of bandwidth. I'm guessing he's paying more in the range of $40-$60 a month.

Hey I just noticed, the kid that got nuked by the Arc of the Covenant is the same one who said he was "invincible" because he had the Spear of Destiny.

I guess the Arc trumps the Spear.

Besides which, he wasn't holding a spear, he was holding a sword.

And...the sword of the soldier piercing Jesus is all bendy in the close-up, looks like it's made of tin foil?

"Cross not included" I LOVE IT!!! Shouldn't it have been "Cross Sold Separately?"

Okay, so it's $50 bucks a month. He's going to a lot of trouble for a place to store a video. It would be better to send it to http://www.funnyjunk.com then everyone could enjoy it at no cost to him.

Yeah, *all* the religious figures on http://www.jesuschristsuperstore.net/ have a gun of some kind...pretty appropriate if you think about it.

Perhaps not so appropriate, but still funny...when you enlarge any of the action figure pictures...there's a picture of the Last Supper at the top of the page, with some interesting modifications...

Have you all been seeing the Nike commercial, the ones that start out with the "Mama's boy" action figure. Camera work looks similar. Hmmmmmm.
Also the Jesus action figure has the "Walk on water action. Sponsered by Nike??? That would be somewhat entertaining to watch on the 9 o'clock.

Haven't there been a lot of Jesus action figures for sale? I thought I saw one for sale once, and there was also a librarian & a dentist or something. Cute. I think it's funny.

I have never seen a Jesus action figure in a store. Not even at Spencer gifts. I would like to have one though.

There are plenty of real action figures available for sale. The original Jesus Action Figure has been around for years. Urban Outfitters and Spencer Gifts have carried them in the past but now you can get them through
http://www.archiemcphee.com. Enjoy!

There was a buddy Christ action figure floating around for a while after Dogma came out, I have some friends that have it. Dunno if it's the same one but I thought I'd seen it at Spencer's or somewhere of that ilk.
