Someone posted this in a cat lover's community on LiveJournal recently. At
first it struck me as something of the 'bonsai kitten' variety, but the
pictures were much more disturbing. I couldn't help but wonder if this girl
is actually that sick and twisted...
Warning. Potentially offensive and gross(edited by Charybdis )
Look, a lot of you people think that this kind of stuff is ok, and u think well, we do it to other animals why not a cat?
but seriously folks, imagine wat sum people like animal police would do if they walked into your house and saw a whole bunch of kitty purses? Do you honesty think theyd be like oh, that's nice. NO! they'd be like what the in the hell are you doing! and would prolly arrest you! I seriously dont know what is going on in the world anymore but its disgusting. They would consider making humans into purses wrong, so why not leave all the cats alone and let them be...

PETA published a letter saying that Tinkebell is a hoax. There are a lot of copycats out there, though.
well. I think that someone should make a purse with Tinkerbell... That would be nice... If she wants to "enjoy" her moments with the cat why can't she see it from her cat's perspective.

Hypocryt People : A world full of them
People create great suffering for other people and animals .They think their doing the right things themselves. That's what all these comments show us.
maybe that's what this girl is trying to tell us.
Do the right thing list:
-Do not eat meat.
-Do not buy clothes made by little children in third world countries
-Pay the whole world evenly even if that means your going to
have less money yourselve.
-Do not vote for people who support war.
-Do not work for big companys that pressure third world countries and distroy nature.
-Respect people and try to understand that we are living in a world together.
-And do not kill your cat and make a purse out of it.
and I come to the conclusion we do life in a sick world and this girl is just showing it to us.
And do you really thing you re anything better than her?

Some comments here are really shocking. What is more hypocritical: eating meat and defending our pets or advocating animal rights and labelling this girl's "work" as shock art? This whole talk about the cat being dead already is disgusting. Would you make a coat out of your dead mother? I don't think so.
My biggest pet peeve with PETA and alikes is that people can't make the difference between killing an animal to eat it and killing it for fashion purposes. Does anyone get shocked when a lion eats a deer? Human beings eat meat because of a biological need. I know a considerable number of people who veered into vegetarianism but eventually had to give in and start eating fish (much to their disgust). We cannot blame human beings for having essential needs. I'd like to never eat meat again in my life, and I'm almost there, because I don't like red meat, but I won't condemn anyone for doing so.
Killing an animal, any animal, for fashion purposes is mean. Killing a pet for the same reason is plain cruel. I don't care if this Tinkerbell person is trying to make a statement out of this, and I don't care if her copycats use dead animals, this is wrong and this is just as hypocritical as anything they condemn. And pointing fingers to those who are shocked is also hypocritical. People talk about human rights and animal rights but they forget about the right to have a voice and have it respected by others.

I've met her today. Katinka (tinkerbell). She does horreble things and shockes everybody with her doings.
but she said that is is of for opening a discussion (what we are doing now).
I a way I think she is a nutter (I know)
and at the same time I think she's brilliant.
ps. I've seen images of her skinning her cat.

Who cares if the cat was already dead. For one thing, the cat could be infectitious. Most people should know by now a dead body means no good. She's just messed up and if she DID kill the cat, then she probably deserves to go to prison. If she killed many...she just deserves to die. I don't even care if that's breaking the fifth commandment. She would deserve it.

Hello everybody!
I yust wondered. what is the difference between the shoes you wear(from dead cowskin I presume?) and a cat?
I met Katinka in person at brihgtlive.nl in Amsterdam last friday, and I think it is a real nice girl! Very bright and creative.
She also makes childrenstoys from a dead guinnee pig!
By "Tinkebells" logic, I should be able to murder a human being in order to prove that murder is wrong. Idiot. She should be arrested for animal cruelty.
The sad part is, some people actually accept this. Disgusting.

I won't stand on wether it's ethical or not to make clothes out of animal fur or just skin..
But some ppl should realize that their leather clothes are actually made of animal skin... at least the cat here wasn't killed on purpose (was obviously dead beforehand). I personnaly try to avoid leather as there are some more efficient synthetic materials.
Moreover, I don't really get how non-vegetarians here could be shocked as they surely eat dead animals every day (and be sure that these animals WERE killed on purpose).
Just some nutritional facts for meat-addicted ppl and going-veggie reluctants: humans don't NEED to eat meat, what we mostly 'need' in meat is proteins, which are even more abundant in dairy products, eggs, soya and nuts (pine nuts and peanuts are the best).
(I don't want to go further out of the subject.. ppl interested in eating healthy should check facts here http://www.vegsoc.org and why not here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetarianism)

many people have mentioned over the web that PETA has released a statment on this, proving that its a fake,, but I have searched everywhere and cant find any such statement.
if anyone knows if PETA really has made a statment, then please find it and give a link to us.
personally I think the site is real, (she wants people to realise that killing a cow to eat or leather for shoes should be no diferent to making a cat bag) i think she wants to dramaticise a point that no one thinks about).
if it creates a few vegetarians, then in the long run, a few animals have been saved, right?
if it creates a few vegetarians, then in the long run, a few animals have been saved, right
Unfortunately, probably not in the slightest. If a small, but significant number of people stopped eating beef then ultimately the price of beef would drop. With cheaper prices, the people still eating beef would simply be able to afford eating beef more often.
While it's not really that simple, it's still the basic idea. It would take a fairly large percentage of the beef-eating public to stop before there was any real impact on production.
I know this world is full of hypocrites and dumb asses. I hate knowing that I live in this world as it's current state of mind is getting worse and worse. People are always trying to do something to cause a commotion and make people see what they are doing. Just like Tinkebell, there's so many people out there putting stickers of skinned cows on meat departments at supermarkets and going to rallies at KFC's. You're not doing anything. You're not causing any kind of change to happen. It's in you. Share your information. If you know the truths about something, share it with your friends and families and let them make up their minds.
I don't eat animals for a number of reasons. First and foremost, I can't eat something that naturally has adrenaline in their body. Central nervous systems and adrenaline and everything that a human contains within their flesh. It is a known fact that an animal eats other animals. They need it to survive. Have you ever seen a vegan die of starvation? Vegans I know eat more than any carnivore that I have ever met. They are the healthiest and most active people I have ever met as well.
There's also a little known fact that no matter what you do to kill that animal, you're going to get some adrenaline of theirs in the meat that you sit down to eat. That adrenaline is very poisonous for us as humans to eat. There's also the free range and meat factory difference. I don't know how your country handles the meat industry, but mine, it's gross. The animals eat, sleep, breathe and live in their own urine and feces until the day they are hung up by their feet and killed or just die there in their mess. And we eat this?!?!?!
Last but not least, CHILD PORN!!!!?!?!?!?! If you think that is art, you're on the autobahn to hell. Let me tell you that much. At an age where they should all be going to the mall and worrying about certain boys liking them or not, cell phones and arguing with parents about the terms of being grounded, they're being displayed sucking some guy off. What kind of sick and derranged individual would call this art or anything of the sort? This is all we need, more young girls out there provoking child rapists, molesters, STD's and underage preganancy. I don't CARE what it's like in your country. This is so screwed in the head I can't imagine someone saying this is anything other than someone who comes from a demented childhood looking at life through a filter of abuse and neglect. Tinkebell, I don't know and do care what you really do with your life, but for the love of god, if you don't stop with the animals, would you please just leave the young children out of it? We don't need more people in this world developing into another mentally unstable adult and not being able to cope with the world as it really is.
