Think and Reason is offering $1,000,000 if you can prove that God exists. There are conditions attached. But they do say: "All you have to do is prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God exists. It is really that easy!"
Is there really this money sitting waiting?
Supposing I said I was God - and prove I exist (should be easy) - is the money mine?
I created the universe - isn't that good enough? - I won't do it again, though - one universe is enough.

Ever see that 60's Hammer film "One Million BC", with Raquel Welch in the animal-skin bikini? THAT is definite proof of the existence of God. No doubt about it. Can I have the million now?
Where would we be without God? We'd have floods, famine, wars, disease, cruelty, greed, raped women, abused children. Hey wait a minute, that's what we have now!
Ah, but without God we wouldn't have Crusades, Jihads, Pat Robertson, much of the intolerance in the world, Shrub, the Pope, Moonies, tithing, and the [despised foreign national of your choice].
The famous mathematical Kurt G̦dell, the same of the "theorem of the incomplete" it produced another theorem for which said to demonstrate mathematical and logically the existence of God. You can look for this in some biography of G̦dell (I don't have present the title) written by his friend and his colleague.
In essence the existence of God is demonstrated (it is what I reach to understand) with the same theorem of the "incomplete" applied : THE REASON (THE SCIENCE) it is IMCOMPLETE AND INCOHERENT (as they are it the mathematics and the logic).
I hope this automatic translation from Spanish to English has some coherent meaning.
Sorry ...

On the eighth day God made Raquel Welch in a animal-skin bikini, mixed her up with Ray Harryhausen special effects, and gave us "One Million Years, B.C.", the greatest artwork known to man. Michealangelo's David pales in comparison, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa whinces, and Winky-Dink shudders. HubbaHubba

If what's-his-name could prove in a US court that Ed Wynn was Santa Claus with a few truckloads of mail, and US courts can throw down injunctions on international companies that force them to dance, it seems to me that someone is missing a golden opportunity to prove that the all-powerful bipolar being of her/his choice is real. All you have to do is go to court in the US and the whole world will believe it. Right?
Although most of that $1,000,000 would probably get eaten up in legal fees and court costs.
"If what's-his-name could prove in a US court that Ed Wynn was Santa Claus with a few truckloads of mail..."
Wonderful reasoning except that it wasn't Ed Wynn. I believe the actor's name was Edmund Gwenn (sp?) or something like that. Other than that, your logic was eminently worthy of the Bush administration.

For a second, I thought this was going to be a link to James Randi's challenge. But then again, his challenge is to prove the supernatural and not God.

How much is it worth to prove that God does NOT exist? Just a thought, God, in case you read this.

Nothing simpler!
Proof A is that God is there.
Proof B is that He created everything.
Proof C is that Heaven is there
A--------- Simple: The idea in your head of something un-stop*-pable must actually be unstoppable, otherwise it defies the original definition. (the * denotes any arguments, or stops, you give).
B--------- Everything stoppable requires something else; something it can't control (that's what makes it stoppable). Therefore to have the whole of stoppable existence requires something unstoppable.
C--------- It follows on from what I said earlier in A that not just
"something un-stop*-pable"
must be there but that an extended idea of
"everything un-stop*-able"
must be there.
Therefore this unstoppable thing is uniting everything to itself somehow.
I cannot anything else, I can't prove (yet). But the 300 prophecies (nazarene, carpenter, ruptured heart, pierced hands + feet, etc.) before crucifixions were invented and biological accuracy of the new testament (water in the liver after suffocation, etc) plus the fact that 1/3 of the human spieces kneel to Him just 2000 years after he walked the earth and democracy suddenly occurred after his Word spread are enough for me to follow Jesus, God in ape-form.
I love you and ask Jesus to give you guidance in your decision but it's your decision. Ask him for help in case He's there. If He's not you've lost nothing by asking. Please email me if you have any questions.
PS: If A is satisfactory, please give the $1,000,000 to charity.
