A man is supposedly selling advertising space on his forehead on eBay, the
auction is up to over $15,000:

This has definitely been done on eBay before. Quite often, I think. I don't know why the BBC would only discover it now. Nor do I know why eBay would have pulled this particular instance of it.
There's also that headvertising company that insists it's real:
