Family wins second 'first baby' contest

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Kelsey Rose Gavel and sister Rory Ann have a flair for the dramatic.
Born a year apart, they've made their parents repeat winners of the ``first baby'' contest at Study Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Kelsey was born at 9:37 p.m. on New Year's Day.
Rory Ann was born just after midnight on January second, last year.
Their mother, Terri Gavel, tells The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro calls the coincidence ``a little unreal.'' She says there was ``no planning, no nothing.''
As winners of the contest, Terri and Mike Gavel receive a variety of gifts donated by the newspaper, the hospital, and local businesses.
Both girls arrived before their due dates, Rory Ann six days early, Kelsey a day early.
-I think they just like getting free gifts. This probably counts as Irish Twins. I wonder if it's the beginning of the nice spring weather that prompts their amourousness. (sp?)
