I did my ironing in front of the tv last night... doing ironing on your own sucks. Anyways, I was doing my ironing when a report aired about a new technology that allows you to find missing persons with some DNA and advanced satellite systems. It all sounds too good to be true and personally I cannot fathom how this could work. The few details and large claims all smack of hoax material...Here's the news report

Didn't they use a pendulum and a map to find missing people in the past - sounds like an updated bit of dowsing (so if you believe in dowsing, you'll believe in this......and fairies too, probably).

Definitely bogus. It's probably a scam to con money out of parents with missing children. It sounds weirdly similar to the Abrams' Dynamizer, a quack invention from the early 20th century that could supposedly diagnose a person's illness based on their signature alone: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2843/is_3_26/ai_85932620

Any parents that try this...are probably the same parents that read that bed-time story, "Strangers Have The Best Candy" to their kids.
