I dont want to link it since it's nasty and has been linked here before, but perhaps he is thinking of the brain worms pic as shown on snopes. Tho that one was not from eating sushi in the end....

Not related to sushi, though.
I could go for some sushi right now, even if I had to eat it in front of the brain worms picture.
