The Times has reported that two young boys were arrested for playing with toy guns.

The story says "POLICE have been accused of heavy handedness after arresting two young boys who were playing with toy guns. One of the boys was held in a cell for five hours."

Well, we don't know the whole situation. The motorist driving by must have known the boys. How else would the police have been able to track them down? Also, if the Vicar made them leave the youth club...maybe the boys were rough-housing a little more than appropriate. I've seen my brothers play with toy guns & I've seen fights start over who 'shot' who first (or last). I can't say that I agree with putting children into holding cells, but I do agree with checking out children's INTENTIONS. If the boys had been walking down the road...aiming a gun at the motorists going by, or pretending to violently kill one another...then maybe the boys need a sound talking to at least.
