This is a GREAT site, and I've enjoyed spending the last hour reading through various articles. It struck me as add, though, that one of the biggest hoaxes lately has been given no attention (or, at least, none that I could find).
Remember a year or so ago when this antiques dealer from Isreal claimed to have found a stone box that contained the words, "Here are the bones of the brother of Jesus of Nazarreth" (or something close)? The story was covered in every magazine and newspaper. In the end, it turned out to be a hoax!
Shouldn't somebody write about it for this site? Heck, I guess I could write about it...who should I submit it to?
I saw a BBC special about the Jesus' Brother's sarcophagus, and you're right. It is one of the biggest archaeological hoaxes in decades. I just haven't had time to research and write up anything about it... but it's definitely worthy of inclusion in the museum.
