Is thisa hoax? A friend tellls me there is no Nancy Butler, Lawyer, at the address given. BREAKING---KERRY TO UNCONCEDE IF THERE IS EVIDENCE OF FRAUD
FORWARD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW
EMAIL FROM DC LAWYER CYNTHIA BUTLER
I am angry and getting emails and recrimination from people wondering why KERRY just caved and is not fighting this before the final count in Ohio, before any of the fraud was challenged, before New Mexico and Iowa even came in.
There is widespread feeling that he did not lose the election and that it was taken from him.
There is enough here to warrant investigation and enough to challenge the results. It's coming from all corners.
I understand that he has until the official count certification in Ohio to Un Concede which is several days from now.
Anyone who thinks that he should unconcede should give reasons why - whatever they noticed, particularly in Red Republican Governed States using electronic machines- and send them directly to Cameron KERRY, John Kerry's brother at his law firm at the address .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
They should inform us if they were not allowed to vote provisionally (for whatever reason- they lost forms, ran out of forms, etc.) I personally witnessed a number of things as I reported in Texas with the DCCC. (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee)
If you know anyone in particular in Ohio who tried to vote and was turned away at the polls please get their information and notify the campaign.
They should be notified if they experienced lines longer than four hours -particularly elderly or infirm people (we call that torture when they do it to political prisoners) . They should be notified if people were told as has been reported that due to too many people showing up in African American precincts, particularly in Ohio where there were too few booths (some only had two or three for the entire precinct) and told because of heavy turn out they could vote on Wednesday. If the numbers of these sorts of incidents creates a percentage margin that exceeds the margin of victory- Un Concession has to be made to challenge the count.
If people wanted to and tried to vote and were prevented or actively discouraged from doing so, that is a Civil Rights matter and must be dealt with in terms of the ultimate count.
This is the last email that I am writing on this subject in this venue. I am taking it up in other venues.
Please pass along this to your listservs so that we may make Democracy Work in America. We are not a country where he who cheats best wins.

This is not a HOAX. I am amused I don't exist according to Karl Rove and the Museum of Hoaxs but I assure you that is news to my mother.
The reasons different addresses come up with different businesses is because the mailing address to my office is in a master suite that is a shared Fegen suite arrangement where there are many other different attorneys and business concerns. You don't think I would be stupid enough to list where I and all my files are actually sitting for Karl Rove to find them (and me) do you?
If you go to the Georgetown University Law Center and ask for their Alumni records, they will tell you I graduated from there in 1987, which means I have been practicing law for about 18 years. Yes, I am a real lawyer. Please don't tell my clients that I am Hoax or I will have to return their Retainer fees.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
John Kerry is my hero. Win or Lose, My Hero.
And I will hold out every hope possible until there is no possibility whatsoever that we can right the wrongs done in this last election. Stand with us- we are not giving up. Neither should you.

Karl Rove is a Hoax. I looked under Bush's jacket during the debates- nope, not there. I looked right next to the Weapons of Mass destruction- nope, not there. Oh, there are no weapons of Mass destruction, silly me. I looked in the graves of two thousand British and American soldiers, nope not there, just two thousand dead British and American soldiers in flag draped boxes. I looked in the Mass graves of over a hundred thousand innocent Iraqi people burned alive in firebombs, explosions, missile attacks and crushed in falling concrete as their cities were destroyed. Nope, didn't find Karl Rove there either. I asked God if he was in Heaven. Nope, not there either. I have concluded, He is a Hoax. |

I searched but could not find any law firm at 1717 K St. NW in Washington DC. I doubt Rove's search on FindLaw.com is exhaustive because it is a site that law firms and attorneys register with to be listed. So, "Cynthia L. Butler" might not be registered. A search of all attorneys in the DC area only returned about 75 names, so this would only represent a small fraction of the thousands of attorneys in DC. On the other hand, however, I would need better verification that "Cynthia L. Butler" is actually an attorney. Sorry, LiveJournal posts don't qualify in my book.
A Google search for "Cynthia L. Butler" turns up quite a number of posts by someone claiming to be Cynthia who is plastering basically this same message on a lot of forums. Museum of Hoaxes comes in at number one! None of the articles are from an "official" source, such as the DNC or the Kerry campaign. In light of this, I'm going to write this up as a hoax being promoted by a rabble rouser pretending to be an attorney.
BTW, if this is true, what would it do to the status of "John Titor" as being a hoax? Heh. |

WRONG AGAIN. Maybe a "rabble rouser" but Check Georgetown Law Class of 1987. You may also call the Bar Associations of Pennsylvania, California (inactive) and DC (need to pay dues but have been a member since 1995). If you also did a more comprehensive search you will find a case involving a large class action I worked on against Sara Lee Corporation all over the web- yes that's me,when I was the founding member of Butler & Spears. I am a real live attorney. You can call me and I will tell you anything you want me to know that is not client confidential. |

Finally, let me state- it was not I who originally put ANYTHING on the web. I only started responding to what everyone else started putting up on the Web.
I sent an innocent email to a few friends and a few strangers started emailing back seeing my name places I had never even heard of. There is my instant 15 minutes of fame. Call me the Accidental activist. My concern, as an 18 year litigator was to develop a body of FACTS that could be litigated in states that matter such as OHIO (which in fact is being done now by the Kerry attorneys) so I placed that plea to a few friends on an email. What ensured was surreal. The email call went all over the web, mutated a bit by the add on of sentences that got more over the top with each publication (for example I never wrote- "We have the power to take our country back" while I believe it sincerely.
So there you have it. I am a usually quiet, studious, nerdy even almost, little unknown attorney who now is being called a Hoax in the World Wide International Web. I really rather is stopped because I might not get any birthday presents this year if it keeps up. If you don't believe me CALL ME - my office no. is 202 466-0998. Yes, that is in Washington, DC. My uncle lives here too, my aunt and Godkid lives here, I have lived here for over a decade, my Alma Mater Georgetown Law is here, which makes sense for me to be here as an attorney, while I also practiced in LA and Philadelphia with large firms there. I prefer being more anonymous, but since this nonsense is all over the web, I feel compelled to correct the record.

I am not a Kerry official attorney, of which there are THOUSANDS. I have no inside information concerning John Kerry's mindset. The title to that webpage was not authored by me, it was authored by the person who originally posted it to the Live Journal without my foreknowledge.
I am however, a bona fide real attorney. I was a Kerry volunteer and my activities involed canvassing, and PR related activities (I even did phone banking.) I was a Delegate Candidate to the convention in DC (didn't get elected) - I also was sent to Texas with the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.) I was trained by the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights on Election Protection matters at my law school Georgetown. I have litigated Fraud matters in a variety of contexts over the past 18 years of my national litigation practice.

Finally, last but not least of the verifications of my true identity; anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows that when I get hot and bothered the first thing that goes out the window is my proofreading talents. Since there is no spellcheck on this posting possible, please forgive the typos above. Lawyers are rather anal about typos and the above responses betray my usual professional attention to proofreading.
Once again, anyone questioning the veracity of anything I have posted is welcome to call the office or email me directly at *****
Thanks for your kind consideration of the above. i haven't worked this hard, this long, to be called a Hoax. My 67 year old mother is taking a computer class so she can learn how to search the web and I don't want her reading I am a Hoax. It may give her angina.

PART I;
A THANKSGIVING REFLECTION: AM I MY BROTHER'S KEEPER?
By: Cynthia L. Butler
I confess. I watch TV church sometimes in the morning on Sunday before going to real church. Some of it is inspirational some of it infuriates me. Usually I ignore the ones that infuriate me, like the Bob Jones variety gospel coming from Falwell clones or GOVT Republican Rallies from Joyce Meyers. The last one that infuriated me came from a corner I usually am fairly comfortable with but not this corner; Dr. James Kennedy from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You know the one- he rails against everything from the ten commandment posting litigation to Ellen Degeneris. He is a Presbyterian and while usually I applaud Presbyterian ministers for their biblical accuracy, this one has completely missed the mark.
Here is what he was talking about- "Scumbags". He was railing against his understanding of the Democratic party promotion of "entitlement programs" as institutionalized robin-hood thievery where we take money from your wallet (he pointed to the well heeled tanned congregation) to give to the Scumbags who thought the world owes them a living. He said in his day we called those folks "Scumbags". Now we call them "entitled." It's a fairly common Republican view. The poor deserve it. Let's give them exactly what they deserve.
Well here's a newsflash Dr. Kennedy; Jesus did not call the poor "Scumbags", he called them "Brethren." Jesus didn't curse the poor, he elevated them. How we treat them is something he looks at very carefully.
We are told in James not to make class distinctions because what is poor in material terms God has made rich in faith.
We are told in Corinthians that God doesn't look on wealth as net value but on generosity as a higher value noting -"Remember how generous the Lord Jesus was; he was rich, but he became poor for your sake, to make you rich out of his poverty." Generosity is a "test of the genuineness of your love" we are told. We are told that where your treasure lies your heart lies.
We are told that in losing our life as we know it we will find it, and that the rich young ruler who had everything, also lacked everything which would only be cured if he gave all that he had to the poor and followed Jesus.
We are told more than that- we are told that the Good Samaritan was not the priest who passed by keeping his wallet in tact, but the Samaritan half-breed who went out of his way to transport the sick and abused man left for dead by the side of the road to shelter and paid out of his own pocket for the shelter. We are told in Matthew that Jesus will separate the sheep from the goats tossing one into eternal damnation and the others into paradise on the simple formula of what they did for the least of these his brethren in providing for them materially and in friendship (visiting the sick and those in prison.)

PART II
A THANKSGIVING REFLECTION: AM I MY BROTHER'S KEEPER?
By: Cynthia L. Butler
Jesus, we are told is the Good Shepherd who takes care of all of his sheep and he commands Peter to feed his sheep. Saint Peter and all his apostolic progeny do feed the sheep, literally in the Eucharist which is true food indeed, and food spiritually concurrently.
And let's not forget the simple fact that Jesus himself was poor. He was an itinerant preacher, not one with fancy purple robes parading onto podiums flanked by minions of red robed haughty choirs. He was a simple carpenter. We would call him a blue collar worker or craftsman, maybe artisan if we wanted to spin it chic. But make no mistake. On earth, Jesus was poor. We are told he relied on the contributions of some wealthy patrons, mostly women to support his itinerant missionary activity. And so certainly was the great missionary Paul. He writes home "I have been hungry and thirsty and often starving; I have been in the cold without clothes." (2 Corinthians 11;27)
Entitlement programs? We live in the wealthiest country on the face of the earth. We are blessed beyond measure. Do we owe the "Scumbags" who have difficulty meeting their basic physical needs anything? Only if we love. "Always treat others as you would like them to treat you--that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12). because the commandment that follows directly from the First one to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength is the command to Love our Neighbor as ourselves.
How big is your God? Do you think we can possibly out-give God as a country? Do you think that you will become less if you give more to the people who God calls us all to take care of? Paul tells us (2 Corinthians 11;6) "Do not forget, thin sowing means thin reaping; the more you sow, the more you reap." Do we want to be a mean stingy country where we walk on the other side of the street when we see our countrymen beaten and abused and left for dead by the side of the road? We do so at our national peril. Because Jesus said "Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on a rock. Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and hurled themselves against that house, and it did not fall; it was founded on rock. But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had." Ask anyone in the path of Hurricaine Charlie if God can't do what he promises.
Thanksgiving is a time we gather family, friends and neighbors around a table affirming our Faith in our country as a place of goodness, plenty, bounty and beauty. We are all Americans on Thanksgiving. Am I my brother's keeper? Only if I know that everything I have and am comes from the God who tells me that all the Law and the Prophets point to this; Love your Neighbor as yourself.

Ongoing lawsuits
Submitted by Bob Fertik on November 11, 2004 - 1:33pm.
From Dan Hoffheimer:
Monday, Nov. 8
The Kerry-Edwards campaign and the Democratic Party in Ohio are involved in several pending lawsuits that are likely to go on, at least until we are certain that the provisional ballots are properly counted. John Kerry wants to see that all Ohioans' proper ballots are counted, even if it does not change the outcome of the election. I am personally committed to meeting his expection and spent all of today on this issue and will likely be working on this close to fulltime for the foreseeable future. This includes the class actions that we already have pending. There is nothing to prevent other interested parties from filing their own lawsuits. I have told this to the press, so you may share this email with your friends as you may wish.

Kids, kids, kids, and countrymen;
They should rename the title of this Museum of Hoaxes page to
DEMOCRACY- the Great American Hoax
unless and until they correct the obvious over the top abuses, deceptions, chicanery and outright FRAUD that we witnessed in this 2004 Presidential election.
Zoghby stated recently that fully One Fifth of the American Electorate has Zero confidence that the Election results are accurate and reflect a true Bush win. I am of the view that this One Fifth of the Electorate has a point.
The other HOAX worth investigating is the HOAX that Karl Rove has an education. Find me the college that gave the man a degree. He is not even a college graduate. These are the best of the gestalt think -tankery scams they can contrive.
Thanks for the opportunity to speak to you all through the Museum of American Hoaxes.
Ask yourself if we need to lose the lives and limbs of tens of thousands of our citizens and kill off hundreds of thousands of persons of foreign origin in the service of the Petroleum industry and your ability to drive a gas guzzling SUV, to bring Democracy to countries half way around the world when we do not enforce it here.
I think we can do better. I think we can rise above the darkness that has gripped up. Please help.
