I hadn't heard about this incident before, but it seems that it really did happen. As for whether it was the voice of an alien. Not likely. Someone managed to hijack the broadcast.
Here's a site I managed to find with some good info about it:
http://www.transdiffusion.org/emc/geohistory/hijack/
[color=red]Although TV piracy involving a home-made transmitter does occur, these only reach a very small section of the population, running into the hundreds, possibly thousands. The most famous and best-documented TV piracy incidents involve the hijacking of existing broadcasters |

I have reseached this Ashtar event of 1977.
My conclusion is that this was a not a hoax but a real Et from another world coming through ITN in 1977.
I was first very skeptical of this but after listening to the audio a number of times in a profession radio station studio i am convinced
this is real.
I am skeptical healthy and think we should take the Ashtar thing off the Hoax site . |

Since this was a local hijacking of the airwaves, a not uncommon incident, it deserves to be on a hoax site. It was a hoax. If it wasn't, where the Hell have they been for the last 30 years? Why one message, then nothing else? |

A statement prepared on behalf of Vrillon.
In response to the following: "I have reseached this Ashtar event of 1977.

Really? This thing seems to have snowballed over the years. It was not available over five transmitters but just one, at Hannington. It was heard by viewers in an area of just a few hundred square miles as opposed to the entire south of England.
The IBA did not shut down the Hannington transmitter because it did not know its' broadcast was being over-ridden (its' operation suite was in London) and not because it couldn't. Neither did Southern Television know as their master control was based in Southampton; the first they knew was when worried viewers called in.
This was a hoax, full stop. Perpertrated by pointing a transmitter at a VHF transmitter (such as Hannington) and operating on a low-power, hence the narrow reception area and general poor quality.
My client, Vrillon, would like to point out the enormous technology at his disposal would have meant a clear audio-visual signal, not a fussy audio signal only. If he wanted to my client could have wiped out ITN (and indeed Earth), not just simply put his voice over that of Ivor Jones.
Vrillon would know like this matter finally laid to rest. He would also like to point out that he and other members of the Galactic Command will be appearing in 'Saturn Summertime Special' at the Pier Pavillion, Cleethorpes.

I am part of the Galactic Federation and First Contact Mission. I found this audio yesterday and the energy of Ashtar spoke to me during a OBE after I made a request. In spirit I am the soul essence of Horus, son of Isis who is a early incarnation of Mother Mary.

Just a note that after the success of last year's performances by my client Vrillon, he will be performing at a number of seaside resorts this season, along with the multi-talented, multi-tentacled Ashtar Galactic Dancers.
Please see his website www.ashtar-beauties.com for where and when. |

I believe this to be very very VERY fake. In a real situation, Vrillon would have considered the very high chance of people thinking it was a hoax so he would have broadcast a video showing himself talk, or at least a still picture! If you listen closely, get past all the noises, you can hear that the voice is human, badly imitating an alien. Listen and you will hear what I mean! |

you guys can check out the Wikipedia page for it, that's where I first heard about it, and since it only has the words and not sound it works better for me because I don't have speakers..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vrillon
it should also be assessable by clicking on my name if you don't feel like copying and pasting.
And to Vrillon's Legal Representative, thanks for a good laugh. |

Hello all,
This is the audio link for the Vrillon audio that took over the ITN Transmission this is real .
The transmission was beamed in a direct path and area from the Ashtar Galactic Command.
Listen carefully to the sound .
That sound was from the Ship itself
beyond the earth itself.
Go to this link or copy and you can listen in Mp3 ehttp://www.ufoshow.org/vrillon.mp3
The Ashtar Galactic Command is on Earth and also off Planet now fully activated.
This is and was not a hoax as some would have you beleive.

I will have to agree with comment number 3. It was and is still a hoax. What would have they done for the past 30 years?
Why all that effort and send only a single message? wouldn't be practical at all. |

Again this was not a Hoax plus the name of the being was not correct here .
The broadcast the male voice say's the name is Vrillon on ITN TV England not Gramaha Television Broadcast.
To be a Hoax one has to fine the people behind it.
The Tv Network stated at that time no one could be found and till this day nothing nor anyone has been arrested for this.
If you believe this is a Hoax then you need to rethink that .
There is alot to this story many of you do not understand .
I will just state again this was not a Hoax no matter how many people come and comment it was without doing any real research .
Blessings and Peace |

Firstly Vrillon is probably laughing at people screaming hoax. I know i would be he will also be laughing at the fact im posting here as well.
Firstly the equipment needed to disguise your voice was not availible back then in 1977 i dont think and even to hijack a transmitter back in 1977 and realign five transmitters to do what people claim was a hoax was very very extremely difficult almost impossible to do. Also nobody back then knew how to do anything like that without getting caught. The fact the voice is disguised with a synthosier hope i spelled that right proves this is legit since back then the public never had anything like that. Also take into account that the person was never caught and it would of took a person or a group of people hours to do what was done there and they would of been caught anyhow. They found no person so it all adds up this is an extra terrestrial signal. Dont belive me research what equipment was availible in 1977 and youll see im right. Hoax or not, we can all surely agree that the message that the person who went through all that trouble to transmit was a beautiful one, and one that is true for us all.
Either galactic master or an East-ender, the transmission itself spoke of peace and harmony. We can all agree that we are living in increasingly insane and dangerous times, where smart bombs are held by stupid people. and perhaps, it is not after all, that bad of an idea for us to live consciously alongside all of our wonderful siblings on this planet and to realize ourselves for what we truly are.
We will not achieve liberation for anyone by debating our various belief systems with one another. The mind will play that game forever if you let it.
Instead, lets wake up from the incessant chatter of our minds for all the good that it will do us and everything around us.
It can't be that bad, can it?
