You probably remember the news last year about the French woman who went ahead with her wedding plans, even though her fiance had died in a car wreck a year or two before.
Well, this story appeared last week in the Dallas Morning News (10/14/2004, page 10B). I quote the item in its entirety:
"In Ceres, South Africa, David Masenta's family held a posthumous matrimonial ceremony so he could be joined with his beloved fiancee, Mgwanini Molomo. Actual marriage was not possible because Mr. Masenta murdered her, then killed himself."
My invitation to the wedding must have been lost in the mail.
