This seems to use some correct references of the Bible to lead people into believong an incorrect passage from the Koran / Quran
Can anyone support this 9:11 passage?

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq!
However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.
Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.
No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.
And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...
The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

You seem to think this justifies the current events.
May I suggest you follow your own advice and do some research. Many wars and atrocities have been committed in the past in the name of Christianity. The Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition stand out. Witch hunts, in America and Britain. The systematic destruction of the Maya by Spanish invaders, particularly Diego de Landa (a bishop).
Christian extremists have been just as guilty throughout history of torturing and killing people who believe differently to them. By your argument a war against Christian nations would be justifiable.
The problem stems from extremism, not Islam. It is extremely important to make that distinction if a peaceful solution is ever to be reached.

Guilt by association, credibility by association, as in: "Wow, since all this stuff is true, then this must be true, too." That is a basic falacial fault of illogical assertions. Each statement should stand on its own merits, but most Americans seem more interested in making things simpler, until it all becomes one big simple lie. We don't like to make judgements upon ourselves, anywhere near to the degree upon which we readily demonize others. A shame, a tragedy, and a crime.

Anyways, Iraq is truly has great historical significance for all religions and must not be destroyed... I believe that anyone who does attempt to touch it, will fail.. whether it be the americans, israelies or the rest of the middle east.. preserve all of our origin.... it was the origin of mankind !!!! I just have to dispute that. Did anyone watch the movie Bad Seed??
Anywho...I have NEVER bitten my daughter. But she got upset when I took something from her the other day (she was not supposed to be playing with it) and she BIT me. She grabbed the hand removing the item (fork) & clamped down. Now, she only has a single tooth in her gums...& 2 on their way out. But it was the agressive (sp?) behavior that I was freaked out about.
Also...I can't remember where...but I thought the bible mentioned that humans are born w/ original sin. Doesn't sin compel you to do wrong?

Nature gives us defences at any age, and a baby instinctively uses any and all means at their disposal. They Will bite the hand that feeds them, because not getting enough food in the wild would be fatal. They emit a high-pitched squeal to fend off predators in much the same way that grownups use distress whistles- it alarms the attacker, and makes known to others their plight. Now if we can only figure out why they pick their noses.

I started to say that the Quran in Surah 9 Chapter 11 says nothing about the Great Eagle: it merely says: But if you repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, then they are your brothers in religion and we detail the verses for a people who know. Who makes up all these distortions about the Quran and the Bible? Can't they read?Quit spreading all these lies!

Nefertari, obviously you have'nt been up on your research, if you had you would know that the inquisition killed far less people than most people claim it had. furthermore, all those who were killed were given a chance to repent, and the only reason they were put to death was because they had commited treason against there country and queen and king. now not all court systems are perfect we can tell this from our own county so unfortuanetly innocent people died, but out of the 100,000 people that were "claimed" to have been killed only around 2,000 actually were,
and did you know around the time people in jail actually wanted to be put in the inquistion system because it was handled more fairly and the conditions were better
so how about you research next time before you point fingers

To whoever, I looked it up, the Quran thing is crap, but to "Chad" I've been to Babylon last year durring OIF 1 w/ the Marines and stood on a mound about a 1/4 mile or so in dia. and about 40-50 feet high. It sure did remind me of a "great tower" that came crumbling down. In a huge pit in the center there were very old remnents of pottery and what looked like some sort of melted or burnt material. I have some as in my possesion and pics if you think I'm full of shi#. There were also what appeared to be tar pits in decrative pools/buildings/housings that were used as decoration, or in a ritualistic manner near the mound.
