I was sent an e-mail reading I had won $550,000.00
Euro/Us $.I had to send them my name, address, and country I live in.They also said that they had compiled a sum of 300,000 e-mail address's and then it was down to 15,000 then out of that there were 5 grand prize winners mine included that had won 550,000 dollars.I also had to send them 450.00 US$ for a processing fee.Yeah right, like I would do that.I wrote this guy,Steve Morrison and told him that I would come to Amsterdam to personally deliver the processing fee and he wrote me right back and said that I could not come to this address without an appointment.LMAO!!!Have any of you all come across this guy?I have read 4 differant names so far.Mr. Abbey Martins,Steve Morrison,Mrs.Van Der Veen, and Mrs.Betty Van Hammer.I really think this is a scam, what do you all think? You can write me personally at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

I know we all could use that big lump sum of money. But any time someone said you won, and you know you didn't enter in a lottery, two times out of ten, it is a HOAX. |

I got those emails too. But do you guys really think that its real? Do you really think you can win 7.000.000$ in a mail lottery ? LOL. If you had won you should get much more secure contact. I got these mails everyday. |

I too received several e-mails stating that I had won a lottery. First one was from someone claiming to be a representative from Microsoft MSN UK. The other is from the Netherlands. I mean I come from Guam and we do not have lotteries there. What a bunch of BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! |

This is incredible. I finally decided to do some searching and came upon this forum. I cannot believe the scams that are coming out of the woodwork. The last one I got told me I won a certain amount of money in this email lottery. For what would appear to be a gov't monitored business, one would think they would have their Pound vs Dollar rates current. Things just don't match up. The phone number I received in their closing does have the right numbers for the UK, but hardly for the London area.
If you figure all the money I've supposedly won in lotteries (always overseas areas) and received from uncles I didn't know I had who were killed in plane and automobile crashes, I should be able to buy Bill Gates and Microsoft. What I cannot believe is with all the scams that have been mentioned online and on investigative television shows, people are still falling for this stuff. |

One added thing. I usually email back and explain how my bank requires bank account numbers from person(s) who will be wiring large amounts of money to my account. That before there can be any such large transfer, the bank must synchronize and expect funds from their account number. In lieu of this, I offer them the option of sending a cashiers check via Registered Mail to a bogus P.O. Box number. I never seem to hear back from the scammer after this. |

I got a email from the UK from a Campbell Shearer who wanted to fleece me by claiming I won tons of money on an internet lottery. He asked me to send him my name an occupation.
I replied that my name was J Edgar Hoover and that my occupation was being employed by the FBI as a fraud investigater.
The fool responded and is not mailing me the check! This is pretty funny to scam a scammer |
