I was sent an e-mail reading I had won $550,000.00
Euro/Us $.I had to send them my name, address, and country I live in.They also said that they had compiled a sum of 300,000 e-mail address's and then it was down to 15,000 then out of that there were 5 grand prize winners mine included that had won 550,000 dollars.I also had to send them 450.00 US$ for a processing fee.Yeah right, like I would do that.I wrote this guy,Steve Morrison and told him that I would come to Amsterdam to personally deliver the processing fee and he wrote me right back and said that I could not come to this address without an appointment.LMAO!!!Have any of you all come across this guy?I have read 4 differant names so far.Mr. Abbey Martins,Steve Morrison,Mrs.Van Der Veen, and Mrs.Betty Van Hammer.I really think this is a scam, what do you all think? You can write me personally at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Hey Max,
You say that you won 350,000 US dollars?I am very surprised to hear that.I have not seen or heard from one person that had actually won.I did find one person that had been hired to post replies in the lotteries defense. So,it is really hard to know who you can trust, and who is fishing with the sharks!!!!!!!!

My question is; Why is Max looking into this site if he already got his money? Trust me if I got that kind of money in my hand right now I would not be looking around on the internet if it is a scam. I too got the same winning email. So I got on the net to see what they are saying. Maybe I'll be as lucky as Max. HMMMMM????
Although Max refers to an account in Malaysia, his IP address indicates that he's using a computer in Amsterdam. I guess that's appropriate for the 'Amsterdam Lottery Scam' thread.

If it were true, they would not ask for your account number, and filing fees and for this and for that.I found out that if you were to win on an internet lottry,a cashiers check would be how they would pay. This,is a very true statement.Check it out with the department of commerce,I did!!!!!!

Hey Alex,
I too found out that the IP address was from amsterdam,I have only a short time to live, being I have severe emphysema, the one thing I wanted to do,was to visit austraila, now I cannot do that because of the amount of money some people took from me.Now,this disease has taken my lungs and slowly will suffocate.I wish you all the very best, and may God Bless, you all very much!!!!!!

I got a similar email just yesterday, copied below. The subject said "FINAL NOTICE", even though I had not been contacted previously. Wow, little old me won a pile of Euros! (what's a Euro look like anyway?).
Hey Max, how's the property hunt going? Hope you're still not reading this board, since you are now wealthy and would not have time for this trivial website. Or perhaps you are still poverty-stricken, since this internet scam is surely not making you any richer! Max -- try to find an honest job!

thank you for helping me make a decision and delete
this mail. I - as most of you guys - got the same
mail and was promised 5.500.000 dollars. not too
bad. but as I never win anything and never even
believed in lotteries, i couldn't believe it in
the first place, searched the net for information
and that's how I came here.
So thanks once again for not wasting any of my
time and nerves.
